The original cartridge for the FAL would have been a massive leap too. Unfortunately, the asshats at Springfield Armory (the government group, not the current company) hadn't screw it up. ETA: At 7:50 in, the guy mentions the cartridge. Good man.

Looks awesome,but everything at H&R is kinda expensive for what they are(AR15 wise) I love the retro guns but is $1,300 for a plane Jane AR cool? Maybe I’m mistaken and they make awesome guns out of all the great materials. I just thought If they were owned by PSA they be a little cheaper,I get H&R isnt selling the PSA $500 AR but you can buy like a SOLGW for some of the prices of there bare bones clone guns.I don’t know,they sell so I’m probably a putz.
The m14 was a better choice but you can't beat a m16 at 7 lbs and can carry way more ammo. I don't know if this expert realizes the fal was in Vietnam and it was over weight as well coming in at 10lbs.
H&R makes nice stuff…PSA blows. PSA still can’t even make a decent AKM after five gens. They also beta test their firearms but hey you have a lifetime warranty 😂😂😂😂
This is made by DSA. H&R is pretty good because they go find people that know what they're doing and are proven, and themselves were NoDak Spud, which made the retro receivers for Brownells way back when. H&R is the best thing PSA has done.

Since then, before everyone thought they were shit compared to Daniel defense, their production of new items out weighs their durability in metals and build parts. They basically went from an amazing AR company, to a take on any project and let the customer be the QC lab rat. I do still have a couple uppers with a CHF barrels that is great. But, I’d never buy from them with their new constant line of dumpster fire firearms that everyone gawks over. The good old days are over. Corporate, money and greed took over.

They spend more money and time on false advertisement instead of making quality products. PSA GF5 didn’t even make it 300 rounds. My dad had to return his AR twice and a buddy of mine sent his micro dagger back twice! I also had to send back 7.62x39 ammo…was out of spec. I reload so I kinda know what I’m talking about. PSA is horrible

How do you reckon that? It's an FAL with some different furniture, being made by a company that has spent decades selling huge quantities of FALs with various types of furniture in a ton of different configurations on the American market. Making an StG44 is literally thousands of times harder because nobody knows how to make one, and anybody who tries pretty much has to reverse engineer a nightmare rifle with way less resources than the Germans had.

Wrong gun. This is a clone of the T48, which was chambered in 7.62x51mm, not .280 British. The Brits were testing a different FAL variant.

My H&R Retro M16A1 and my Son's Sabre MK12 Mod S work great and are well built rifles. The JAKL and their AK's I would stay away from.
