    For nazis you needed to be german, Scandinavian, or northern European/ British Isles white. Southern European like Spain or the Mediterranean (pretty much you were slightly tanned naturally) was lesser. You also couldnt be Slavic like Ukrainian, Russian, or most east European

    • @laziojohnny79
      @laziojohnny79 8 месяцев назад +1

      Germanic people was the ideal, yet it's not like the nazi's wanted to eliminate all Slavic people, they considered the Indo-European tribes in central Asia as their genetic cousins and many Ukranians fought in the SS or other German divisions. Ask the Canadian parliament to confirm that last bit LOL.

      @@laziojohnny79 from my understanding the Slavs were to be made into Slaves and basically killed off through slavery. Also it makes sense to use Ukrainians to help fight the Soviets to make the war easier and just deal with them after defeating the Soviets. From what I remember off the top of my head they considered the Chinese and the Japanese as honorary Aryans. What I know could be wrong tho, I was always more interested with learning about the Japanese then the Germans.

      @@knightofblackfyre7950 Some were, but not soley on their genetics. Slavs were considered worth less as Latin Europeans and far less as Germanic people, but were not the enemy of Aryans per se, but did had to move eastward in order for the Germans to be able to create 'Lebensraum'. Mongolic people like the Chinese and Japanese can impossibly be considered Aryans though, that's as absurd as hilarious, no offence! I think you meant honourable Asians contrary to how they thought of Cossacks, Tamils, Malayans and the tribes of modern day Tadzjikistan, Uzbekistan and Kirghizia.

      @@laziojohnny79 no offense taken, like I said I was thinking off the top of my head and I don't claim to be a world war 2 historian. I've only ever heard the "honorary Ayrans" in regards to the Chinese and Japanese and just left it at that. But thanks for the correction. My main point for my original comment was to just to let the reactor know that being White wasn't enough and that the Nazis had a hierarchy that from what I know separated northern Europeans from southern Europeans and Mediterranean peoples.

      @@knightofblackfyre7950 I don't claim to be an expert either, this particluar subject however I do know a thing or two about. And fully agreed on the main intention of your original comment. It always baffled me the nazi's were so keen on the Aryan man as ideal, while pretty much the entire nazi top, including the SS, were not blond, tall and blue eyed, most probably had a mainly Frankish ancestry, still Germanic and thus of Indo_European descent of course but not Aryan.

    Syndicate is basically a self-organizing group, a group that organizes its own rules and regulates themselves, a groups of crime families making agreements and enforcing rules are one of examples of such groups. Corporatism in what you thought was also arguably chosen economic policy of Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. Also arguably, the only really communist state in history was Inca Empire.

    2:36 says the person who is getting money for watching someone else's work.
    3:24 here's the problem with this. It is functionally a guild or hr department. A business within a business that steals money from workers in order to bully the party that made that business.
    4:40 it is very easy for corporatism to be confused into cronyism. This is mostly due to government contracts. Governments cannot make things, they can only tax. You think governments use their own software? No they get Microsoft to make it. Look at disney.

      I mean, I think that the 2:36 comment of yours is a bit unfair, mainly because of the fact that she's not rich or a part of any elite group because if she was then she wouldn't be making YT videos reacting to political systems for money. She obviously sees an opportunity to make money by reacting to content and therefore exploits it and I'm sure that you would do the same as well either as a side hustle or as a main job. And she's also technically not wrong at 2:36 either because that's one of the main shortcomings of pure capitalism. The rich elite get richer and are elite because they most likely got their foot in the door before you did and there is no income cap or realistic tax on their yearly income unless they make a curtain amount of money but even then there are still loopholes to get around that. Also in a pure capitalism based system there are no safety nets to keep the working class from becoming the poor class and no safety nets to get the poor class back on their feet, which only further widens the gap between the rich elite and the everyday working middle class citizen and working poor class citizen.

    Progressivism doesn't necessitate the removal of tradition or social norms, it only holds that social norms and traditions must be removed if it holds back social progress. This may refer to things like religious fundamentalism, conservative ideology, different forms of bigotry like racism/sexism/etc.
    The existence of traditional cultural practices which harm no one is perfectly compatible with progressivism.

    • @MachivelianBear
      @MachivelianBear 3 месяца назад

      The main problem progressivism runs into is that what constitutes “social progress” is not defined and therefore give political leaders power to go in whatever direction they want under the guise of progress.

  • @danksheev66
    @danksheev66 8 месяцев назад +1

    Progressivism kinda gets strawmaned here, it more believes that tradition is not self-justifiying not that there aren't good traditions. It would disagree with a Conservative that something should be kept simply by virtue of being a tradition and actually analyse whether it makes society better and people happier or not. Moreover, in doesn't see socio-economic and cultural progress as inately bad and sees it as more desirable, likely and organic.

    Power corrupts and that's why pretty much all systems fail(ed). Capitalism (sadly) leads to corporatism, but at the end of the day it's is still the best economical system we have, yet not so much a political one as e.g. communism, socialism, fascism and liberalism.

    Where does the idea that fascism is expansionistic come from? Fascists being nationalistic generally means that they oppose militaristic interventions elsewhere.

      Usually it opens the gates to more and more radical points born from paranoia, etc "the best defence of the nation is a total offense, disarm our neighbours and might as well take whatever they have for the benefit our own while we're out it. They're not our people, so who cares that they live on that land? Its ours now."

      Most fascist regimes engaged in expansionist imperialism, invading neighboring countries, often annexing it if they are ethnically similar or identical to the home nation. Think Russia invading Ukraine currently, or for a more historical example, Nazi Germany and Sudetenland, among other things.
