Not sure about the xp gain from hacked units. Your lvl 2 Fortress has been clearing all your left side without gaining any XP at all as can be seen from the moment you selected the hacked unit.
Boats are a solid answer against hackers yes! They might struggle somewhat vs mustangs, so I generally like getting stormcallers early. Crawlers are a great chaff option vs both hackers and mustangs. I like fortress barrier if I see the enemy commits hard into hackers. Of course melters can be scary, but if you have enough crawlers it will be difficult for the enemy to chaff clear everything. They cannot fix everything at once so generally fortress will be fine if played agressively to close the distance.
In this game, if there's a unit not offered to you for starting, it's likely that the opponent was offered it. Since Rooster didn't get offered steel balls, his opponent (1) WAS offered steel balls and (2) Rooster knows that player likes playing balls, so he played assuming that's the case
There is only a limited amount of starting packs in the game, and you cannot get offered the exact same pack. This means that if you have 3 openers with sledges, it is unlikely your opponent will have a sledge pack as well. Instead, they are more likely to get offered unit packs that were not offered to you.

Maybe they changed it. It used to get exp
You are correct!
Just tested it and the hacked unit seems to get no experience at all. Thanks for pointing it out!
Nice games, cool to see.
How are the players sorted into rookie, elite and advanced categories for the tournaments? Congrats on the win mate!
Tournaments are seeded by current MMR. Weekend tournaments have up to 128 players per group, while Mini tournaments have 16 per group.
Giga Pace!

Will there be a part 3-4, since you won again? that game against scay was insane
I will probably make a video with the last 4 games!
Been seeing a lot of hacker mustang lately. Is the best answer boat? Or do you think forts work? I'd worry about melter.

How was it that you knew that steel balls will be offered to opponent in first game?
