Question. What do you charge per foot to install a 4" water line? If the customer provides material and you trench and install the line. I'm in Texas and I'm trying to compare pricing.
I work with these pretty frequently doing mainline irrigation repairs up to about 12”. Believe theres a section of 24” at this place I work but doubt we’ll need to repair it. You can absolutely use them with PVC, they’re great for the high pressure systems especially repairs where it can be tight instead of installs where the trenches are wide open
Cool seeing how different places are. Here we could use blue with dr28 type pipe. Either all blue or DI. An no up a down in the pipe like that to much chance for air pockets during testing would take forever. Hard to tell in video how grade is running also but here bell end on the uphill. Cool video tho glad to see ppl doing there thing.
A torque wrench works best
Wouldn't hurt to cut off the bevel on that end but other than that, that is how you do it.

Nice work. What tq are you tightening those bolts to w that impact..? Do you guys use pipe lube?
Manufacturers specification (normal 65ft.lbs. to 110ft.lbs dependent upon pipe diameter).
I thought regular pvc pipes could not use with type of restraint

These are designed for C-900 ( water main pipe), but you don't want to use the ones designed for ductile iron on C-900 and visa-versa.
