Great work guys you really are the 4th emergency service hope you get the well deserved donations and recognition for your selfless commitment in supporting the NHS.
Hi guys. I see that you filled up at a BP station. I’m sure you’re aware and it shouldn’t go unmentioned that through this pandemic BP are providing free fuel to emergency services of which Blood Bikes are included. Meaning the funds that groups have raised can be stretched out a little further in these times when many of our fund raising avenues are closed to us. So BP do deserve a mention for that and no I don’t work for them but I do ride for my local group. Groups do need to pre qualify for this offer which I hope all have.👍👍 Keep up the good work chaps. Cheers
Much respect Mark from a very frustrated rider. My Bikesafe day was cancelled - it was due 1 day into the lockdown, and three days before I was due to start my advanced training. I am desperate to join the Blood Bike organisation and start to make a difference - I am retired at 63 and have the time to give - but am frustrated that I cannot give it until I get my advanced ticket. (A sensible rule to be very fair - I do understand it) I thoroughly enjoy the ridercam videos, keep them coming. Stay safe and many thanks.
What I noticed over here in New Zealand during lock down is the pedestrians, some seem to forget there are still cars on the road, but the half empty roads were great, now we have dropped down a lock down level there are a few more cars on the road, bloody annoying, I got used to having the roads to myself
Great to see another blood biker. I do one day a week in the Midlands and I'm very thankful for it during this lockdown. My regular blood bike is an FJR1300 but we also have a "Mark Mason" bike - a BMW F800GT. Keep up the good work!
Nice Video and well Done to all the Blood Bikes out there. i have been looking at joining my local group but that on hold has i am in the middle of taking my Advanced Riders at the moment and this lock down has put that on hold. keep up the good work .and i am enjoying your channel
A great vid, with some interesting information thanks. I ride for Kent SERV and we are currently offering the 24/7 tasking’s, which is great on these empty roads. Stay safe and most of all ride safe.
Caught between envy that you have those roads to ride and being grateful that there are bods out there that will fill the gaps in the NHS. Keep up the good work, the video has just managed to put a lid on my naughty thoughts to get the bike out 'just to charge the battery Officer!' Wash yer 'ands and yourself and your safe fella.
Nice one mark. You are doing a great job for your area. Keep up the great work. You to ride safe. I'm luv to be out on my bike. Just covered 400 miles on her. Still hasn't had its first services. I think I take you. I got a suzuki dl v strom 250. Lovely little bike. I get both feet on the ground. I have had the yamaha fjr 1300 and suzuki bandit 1250.she great on fuel 300 miles to the tank. Happy days mate. Takecare. See you in the next video.
Mark I am aiming to raise money for Blood Bikes and your video says it all. Can I please include a link to this video as an example for why this money is needed, and how important it is and how well it is spent.
Thanks phil Blood bikes are working hard atm through out the UK Every penny raised saves the NHS. Top man. I'm a Swansea based West area. rider for blood bikes wales
Nice one Mark..I am lucky and able to use my GS1250 bike or car for Essex Bloodrunners. We have gone from 30 members to 60+ in the last three weeks and gone 24/7 were we usually only us to do nights and weekends only..same as you really. I haven't done any EHAAT or Milk runs yet. I agree with you there are a lot of boy racers around especially at night.
I ride for Staffs, Shrops and chesire. A couple of years ago I had a job for a neck brace for someone involved in an RTC. Certainly felt that one. Jealous as I'm a key worker I only ride for work to minimise risk to my dad who had one of those letters. Not even happy about having to go to work but to get NHS to work its worth it
Nice work Mark. I've noticed loads of speeding drivers here in Worcestershire too. It's probably the same usual selfish drivers, just that there's not much law abiding traffic on the roads to moderate their behaviour. I've seen LGVs doing the same which is a frightening thought especially in the 30s and 40s. Ride safe
M B Cornwall Blood Bikes took the decision to not use the sirens or lights as a safety measure because nobody had done the ‘blue light’ course on a motorbike. To be honest they, lights can be a pain in the neck so easy not to use them...
I'm a coordinator/controller for Bristol Freewheelers blood bikers, all the groups do amazing work, proud to take a part in the group
Great work guys you really are the 4th emergency service hope you get the well deserved donations and recognition for your selfless commitment in supporting the NHS.
A big thank you for all the great work you and all the blood bikers are doing. RESPECT

Keep up the fantastic work 👏
Thank You for serving

Nice video Mark. Keep up the good work buddy.
My Neighbour over in Perran leaves for work most nights at 1:30am on a 125+ cc tank of a moped.
Wondering now if he could be a blood biker.
Probably not on a 125... Ride safe.
@@markholroyd5365 Ah i figured they didn't always bring the blood bike home with them (secure parking etc)
Likewise, stay safe 👍
They do have the bike at home when they are on shift.
Great vid, may see you at j28 for a handover one day. I ride for freewheelers
Hello its a great video highlights our work.
I ride for bloodbikes wales. West area
Good on you Mark. 👍What requirements are there on rider qualifications?
Russell Locke check with your local group. All require an advanced rider ticket to ride a marked bike I’m sure but that’s a good thing. Keep well.
Good video…. Who pays for the fuel when your riding a marked bike….
Hiya! The charity through fund raising. The NHS give us no money whatsoever… Ride safe
Why has it got blue lights if you can't speed?
M B Cornwall Blood Bikes took the decision to not use the sirens or lights as a safety measure because nobody had done the ‘blue light’ course on a motorbike. To be honest they, lights can be a pain in the neck so easy not to use them...
Why are they called blood bikes when your not allowed to carry whole blood?
Garrie Thomas we do carry whole blood between hospitals. Stay safe.
