This is very similar to my list, an feels very strong so far. A tech I like currently is Trident Arm, which, as well as De-Digivolving, forces your opponent to swing into your blocker and activate all your redirection effects.
Thank you sir! Definitely was fun to playtest against several decks. Definitely a good out to certain... control decks. But the fact that Blackwargreymon can knock ACEs is absolutely hilarious.
For sure! My lists aren't tailored to every player because I lean more control-aggro then pure aggro. Additionally, red, blue and black are my favorite colors to play which is why in terms of yellow, green and purple.. sometimes I miss things or overthink it ha ha.
Greymon good stuff has flexibility but what I don't like about it is sometimes putting in all the good stuff means that you might not have that "good" card you're actually needing.
I've been struggling to build a black base deck for my blackwar because I was too afraid of dropping cool boy and omnimon but your list and the arguments you make for control over aggro finally convinced me to take the plunge. It's time to believe in blackwar's strong suit and commit to it! Thanks for the inspiration. I'm probably switching hades force for trident arm as it also seems like it would combo really well with this deck and also tweak some ratios for the lvl 4 and 5 but otherwise this seems like a very solid direction. So excited to try this at locals!
You can definitely do aggro still! I just lean control more because of the tools that it offers in the up and coming meta. While true, BWG might not be able to hit certain play cost Digimon, this list focuses on the fact that blue might be one of the biggest meta contenders and eliminate surprises before they happen.
Yeah of course you can always go aggro but I always feel like if I'm running aggro base I'm probably better off with just straight up wargreymon with a couple blackwars lol. I really want to use blackwar to its fullest potential instead of as part of a toolbox like most people. Plus having a menacing stack on the field that's super annoying to remove is something I really dig.
I still have the red base as well which is purely Wargreymon, the only issue with Gotsumon is that it kills your consistency and you also miss out on playing BT12 Greymon since it can't digivolve on top of Gotsumon.
@@DIGI-PANDA Yeah I run pure red on the bottom. 3 BT5, 3ST1, 1 BT11 x, and 3 BT9 x. They all can digivolve off of Gotsu, and Gotsu kneecaps all the meta decks right now. A turn 1 or 2 Gotsu shuts down Bloom, Fenrir, and Digi Police. Toolbox lvl 5s since the meta needs Both Metalgreymon X antibodies in your deck, BT11 for Digi Police/Machine/Vacine, and BT9 for Wargrey. Also running 0 Omnimon and slotted in 2 Yuuya instead because I got a Mastemon Vaccine player that has gone to the finals now 2 times against me at locals.
Ive had my list tuned to something along these lines since st15 dropped and its been a blast. However, it feels like an uphill battle vs vaccine atm. Angemon is a perfect counter to the virus top ends!
For sure! Yellow Vaccine is one of the few decks I'm having problems building right now. Out of all the colors, yellow, green and purple are probably my least played colors.
Overall looks like a fun build that I might try out at locals. I would definitely consider swapping hades force for kongou or crimson. As boards that can go super wide, super fast. seem to be very hard to deal with. Another issue is dp count when you que into fellow wargreymon matches.
For sure! Hades Force is just generally something I like as a 1 of. Kongou does hit some of the other decks like blue hybrid, shinegreymon, and in some instances the Fenriloogamon using BlackGatomon for game. Crimson's just an awkward card for me. I like it but I also don't like it. Some match ups might be single stack or board vomit upon promotion. And even if you have the read pre-emptively it's a lot of memory.
Between aggro and control.. I tend to lean more control. However, this deck has more weaknesses considering it's slower and yellow vaccine says no to virus types.
I played a similar list but with 3 wargraymon bt12 2 blackwar and one ace . I like the ability to block twice and also be offensive more. for this I sacrificed the x antibodies for 2 copies of trident arm and 1 gaiomon
Definitely helps your proc your Tai Kamiyas more! When you add BT12 Wargreymon and ACE that's where you start moving towards Greymon Good stuff - which could be more aggro control or control aggro. It's not a bad choice, for me I know there are some players who are unfamiliar with the blast digivolution mechanic.
@@DIGI-PANDA more than anything, in some matches in my local where I need to be more aggressive, often playing very defensive decks or combi/otk. I often find security controls for example. where if I'm not aggressive I lose because I run out of deck
The question for me at this point is whether Bandai will limit Gabu X and Garurumon X post nationals from EX5. But at this point we have confirmed that Bandai will pull cards off the restriction list, and at that point it's only a matter of time.
This will probably be the last Greymon profile until post Nationals. There are a lot of ways to play the deck and at this point it'd be just Greymon Good Stuff.
@@DIGI-PANDA I am currently gathering some cards to build my version of this deck, what would you cut for two copies of chuumon? ( I use that specifically to choke on mem boosts and loogamon players)
Not necessarily. As I mentioned, you have 4 Agumon's that you can evo off of, and 7 Greymon's as well. Even if it's in hand you also have many ways to search out additional pieces.
Ummm had a question here, i built a similar deck to you but the only difference is my megas are the 3 old gaiomon and the ex4 gaiomon. But one thing I need to improve is my level 5s, should I get more of the raid metalgreymon or should i get 4 copies if the metalgreymon x from bt11 instead?
I think MetalGreymon X is an excellent card moving into BT11. It has a lot of prevention in terms of DP reduction and de-digivolve. Downside with BWG in general is that yellow vaccine messes this deck up hard. Raid though can play more tamers, but the extra layer of protection and that inheritable help.
@@DIGI-PANDA i see, yeah since bt14 onwards have a lot of card with dp reduction effects, the metagrey x could shine a lot compared to the raid metalgreymon. Thank you for your opinion btw, really appreciate it 😆👍🏼
I haven't tested this quite yet, but I could see either being used. Mainly because as you attack into security you can get the trigger effect for BT9 X-Antibody to evo into something bigger and pass turn at the same time. The other is for reducing the cost by 1. One definitely has more combat tricks.
This is very similar to my list, an feels very strong so far. A tech I like currently is Trident Arm, which, as well as De-Digivolving, forces your opponent to swing into your blocker and activate all your redirection effects.
That's another way to do it. I have a jumbo black variant I'd like to throw up but I haven't tested enough yet.
Savage list for the black base. Good work brotha. That ST Tai hitting crazy numbers on redirect will be nasty.
Thank you sir! Definitely was fun to playtest against several decks. Definitely a good out to certain... control decks. But the fact that Blackwargreymon can knock ACEs is absolutely hilarious.
Wow! Minus a few ratios differences, I tuned my BWG deck in this direction when the new starters came out. I had a lot of fun playing it.
Half of the deck feels it can be used in Greymon. The other half, Machinedramon.
I love the list, would like a bit more aggression but still the control and annoyance factor are amazing...and its a great meta counter for bt-14!

Great list. While I would make slight changes, I like that it's a focused list and not just a greymon goodstuff list
Greymon good stuff has flexibility but what I don't like about it is sometimes putting in all the good stuff means that you might not have that "good" card you're actually needing.
I like this one quite a bit. I might've been too strictly focused on zero search misses for mine.
Never a bad thing to focus on! I look at efficiency and how many cards get bottom decked as well.
@@DIGI-PANDA yeahhh. I gotta revisit it though.

Nice list. Certainly some food for thought for my BWG deck, especially if my local store ever gets the new decks in again.
I hope they do! The game is getting a lot of new mechanics that look really fun to try.
@@DIGI-PANDA I'm just worried the game is getting too rules bloated, it seems every new set has 20 new rules.
