To be honest, cod is slowly slipping down hill since there is hardly anything that attracts people. Sure, I absolutely loved the weapon designs in the new engine and such, but from gameplay perspective, innovations were rarely seen throughout the last games. I was imagining they can do something new about the campaign like putting a sort of hardcore or difficult pvp-sort looking missions against NPCs or real players, or major operations / battles where player progresses little by little, achieve objectives step by step where eventually leads to different endings or outcomes based on the results of player’s actions. Multiplayer wise, I completely agrees with the points you mentioned. Cod multiplayers do improved compare to each different game. But the point is, most of the games like halo, cod, Battlefield, they are becoming harder for the developers to improve each new game coming out, we want to see new things but these new ideas are getting harder to be accepted by us, also it’s harder for the developers to find new mechanics for the game. Though that’s how I felt like for most of the franchises. But I hope innovations keeps coming to these titles whether we like them or not, without even trying the games will never be remembered.
