I hear you eventually field two teams in this game. Do you need two teams to be able to beat some content or is it possible to focus on just one team?
You’ll need it later on like around chapter 5 or maybe 6 and Raid but till then you will be fine with only one team for story and material farming content.
Nexon literally added a reroll function in the game that didnt even exists in the first place!

I think the art style is great though. They are students, part of clubs and different schools. The art style fits the world completely and it's not like the characters are not unique on their own. Their personalities really shines as you grow your relationship with them and they have unexpected sides you wouldn't have known just from looking at them. This is why I play gacha: not for gameplay, art style and all that but the attachment I get to the characters. Btw the story is very nicely written. I like the chibi too! They are very detailed unlike some gacha where details disappear in the chibi. My best game in 2021 definitely.

Main issue is the lack of account xp they give you, while expecting you to be x lvl very early in the game. All the while expecting you to sweep former lvls... with what energy? They just don't give you enough energy options.
I think the idea was for you to go back and attempt those levels again for the full 3* rating, since most of the achievements are tied to how fast you can finish a stage (ex. less than 2 or 3 turns). Since EXP is awarded based on the AP spent (1:1; 20 AP for 20 EXP), it's good to invest in early chapters that drop equipment and blueprints (ch 2 and 4); sweep through those with your AP if you have 3* ratings on those missions.

It's a pretty solid game. Which I'm not exactly surprised by since there was quite a bit of hype with the JP version if a recall a few months ago
The thing about JP Blue Archive is that its handle also by Nexon but its their JP branch and the one who publish it is the ever loving Yostar yes that Yostar that manages Arknights
When I realized you didn't need sweep tickets for content farming I knew I had to play this game
So the ads for the games seem to show how each character has a different story. When do I get to that?
Aru is and Karin is so damn good too... Aru always performs mostly dmg deat on my time alongside with Haruna there

normally I HATE chibi in game characters but this game has done a really good job on the chibi models and I really dont mind them.

Pretty new at the game myself, but a couple notes for ya FG. Autoplay is more than fine in early game, you just need to get yourself a tank in your frontline which is not hard to come by. Your other units seemed to be chopped a bit without a beefy unit up front.
Also be sure you're upgrading your equipment. Once you get the second item at level 15, it adds a lot of HP to all of your units.

FYI you're struggling because you don't have a tank. Equip Yuuka (default Tank) and put her up front. She can generate a shield for herself which will help her survive while you need to heal your DPSers. You're running All DPSers so if you do that you should run double healers so that you can make sure to keep them topped off.
Im running hoshino as my tank, 2 mid attackers, and nonomi for my back. Idk how you could possibly not run double healers in this game unless you surpass the recomended lvl for the stage youre on, which doesnt generally happen
There should really be some 3 star healers
@@DarianWade I ran one healer and Yuuka and I was fine. If I ever feel too squishy I just run two tanks. Tsubaki is a really great tank because once a battle she'll heal herself back up to almost full. I believe Pina also has that effect. Yuuka's shield makes it so she doesn't need healing that much.
You really don't need to run two healers, but I have Hibiki so I think if I didn't have Hibiki I would run a second healer because, why not?

One thing FG missed, the characters have really interesting personalities. It's the usual tropes but the writing makes all the difference. I'm snoring when I read Arknights and Priconne dialogue but this game's dialogue is really fun
If you think this game has "interesting personalities", but snore with Arknights, then you don't have a clue what a good personality or storytelling is.

@@AzureRoxe sorry to say this dude but Arknights story is hard to understand most of the time and I can say that as a Arknights veteran since global launch still I think blue archive has a good understanding and easy going tone sure some heavy mysterious topics here and there but the story and characters personality’s are not focused around 3 very heavy topics that mostly revolve around death and short life span with some different topics here and there also if more so compare this game with Princess connect story writing because in it it also has a light tone with a hint of mystery here and there but over all its like you are reading a children’s book with nothing too dangerous or depressing happening unlike Blue archive which talks about Black markets, Natural disasters, Poverty, Depts and such.

The quality of Tales of Luminaria feels like a Triple A JRPG. The only downsides are the controls and portrait mode. Aside from the negatives, the story of the game is soo good. I never have been excited in a good story like that since Fire Emblem 3H.

The art in this game is fine imo. I can't say that I love every character, but that's true for every gacha game I've played
I think Arknights has very good art and a more mature feel. This game looks very childish to me.

True there are some characters in many anime based games i dislike mostly due to their poor temperament. I get some of them have a reason for it but it's a total turn off to me ever growing to like them if they continue treating the MC like dirt and not get told off cause "mr nice harem protagonist trope"
@@the_Acaman I beg to differ. There's certain drawing styles that are tailored for a mature audience. Take Attack on Titans for example and compare it to, say Pokémon. Would you not agree one's more mature than the other? Same goes for games.
I have played this game 2 days now and these is what i liked about the game so far.
-I love that you dont really need "tickets" to "insta-farm" any stage as long as you 3 star them first. (for gacha game addicts this is a good Secondary or 3rd gacha to play)
-The "T1 gear" is needed to max lvl to use the "T2 gear" which is really good no need to switch gears. (its my first time experiencing that in gacha games that i played)
-Getting Duplicates gives you two things "Character fragment" and "Universal fragment" which u can exchange to a character fragment.
-Some Low rarity Characters are usable in some stages.
blue archive is inspired abit by priconne, so some of the stuff you mentioned were used in priconne

@@patchoulidaze7193 as I said when I recommended this to my guildmate in PriConne, BA feels like a 3d PriConne with a lot of QoL upgrades, like I honestly would love if cygames put the character shards for dupe pulls(not just the universal shards) and the no ticket for skip
@@Xedllin idk, tbh, while playing JP, I felt like they were doing a worst version of priconne especially with auto/pvp as the ultimate system is pure rng especially on auto, and events were few and far in between.
Guess it didn't help that didn't know hat I was doing since everything was in Japanese,
now that I understand how to get gems, it still feels like a worst priconne a bit since priconne has a shit tonne of events to gain gems.
I'll see how it goes from here as I'm interested in the story
@@patchoulidaze7193 Having "less" ways tp gain gems could be because of the smaller cast compared to PriCon's large amount of characters(even at launch).
gear grind is also easier in BA considering you only have 3 gears and you don't lose stats when going to the next rank(unlike in PriCon where you have to be mindful on when to actually rank up.
I specifically mentioned the skip system and the shard system because those 2 are honestly a direct step up from PriCon's.
PvP being RNG kinda also helps in climbing up ranks considering your opponent also has to deal with said RNG(I've won multiple times against meta teams with a joke team because of this) compared to PriCon where unless you have a direct counter to whatever comp the enemy has you most definitely will lose... so in that aspect they are "tied".
Sidenote, but I also kinda like how the cafe(and lesson) makes more sense to force feeding a lot of desserts to gain relationship levels.... also makes more sense lore wise that the students only visit us and not indefinitely stay in our guild house considering in both games we are in a separate club/guild to almost all of the cast, but that's just probably my weird adoration for minor details making sense in the lore

@5:51 well, on paper that should mean you can't have a super high level character compared to the rest and that the story is balanced around set levels.

Yeah. It's better to do manually than auto in this game especially in later chapters. I thought I can beat everything in auto with 3* but I was wrong when I saw one of my girls get obliterated in half a second.

I will add something from my own impressions and thoughts
This game has such cute and beautiful stories to the characters that all of them have to be your favourite from the appearances to their personalities or abilities in battle
By any means for me the art seems generic but every characters have their own unique stories to them that could make you feel and will change your perspective on them like
Hatsumi -one of the first unit you will get to your team and she has an attrative body and im not really into big chest characters or those who are there for fan service but once i get to know her better her stories are so light with a little bit of comedy in it she is just a love able girl you would adore and trust me
At first glance i dont like some character's designs,skill sets
And i sometimes boiled them down to "delinquent" or generic dere tropes and once i go deeper and deeper their characters were so much more than that for me atleast

In my region the game is rated 2,5 stars on Google play and I also rated it 1 star for the simple reason that I could not play it. The sign up confirmation boxes were all blank and I did not know what I'm supposed to put in the text for, or what I'm confirming. If Nexon can't be bothered to make the game start up properly for everyone, then there is no reason to give this game a chance. The mobile market is very competitive and we all already got one or several titles in our lineup. If you want to get into there your shit better be working when people come look because their friends talked about the game on discord.

I’m the type of person who looks for more serious story telling in games (especially in gacha games). So my question is, is the game any serious in terms of the story?
Initially no, though I’ve gotten sneak peeks at the future of the story through JP servers and I have to say, Volume 3 is a rollercoaster.
Furthermore, there’s bits and pieces of lore that you can try to fix together. There’s a lot of religious allusions which lead to extensive theory crafting. The story is definitely mysterious and if you can look past the initial barrier of cute girls doing cute things then it’ll become enjoyable.
That’s all I have to say about the story. Good luck fellow sensei

How do you feel about the grind in this game? Is it better off as a main game or a side game?
This is a side game, but a pretty great one. Once you're over the first 6-8 hours of play and finally run out of stamina, the skip system allows you to stamina dump to the point where you only need to pick it up twice a day since you don't need skip tickets.

This isn't even an "OK" Launch, global launch is actually better than jp launch, cuz all the QoL that added to jp version is added to global launch, but still it's ok to be skeptical since it's nexon, but so far they did pretty good.
