Didn't realise how good XTC were until very recently. This was one of their best tunes - clearly others thought so too as in the 90's it got shamelessly ripped-off by a certain big-name Britpop band.

@vincevirtua I have a version of this on Cash Cows - a promo album put out by Virgin (and which was quickly pulled because of a legal dispute between the Professionals and their bass player) and the lyrics are completely different and, quite frankly, much better. Shame they changed them.
@@duncanfraser1644 the version of this, on the album has the original lyrics. Andy was forced to change the words e.g. abortion so they could market the song on BBC and radio in the uk
