One of my favorite bands. Underneath the act are four guys that can really play and sing. Plus, I love how they expose how serious some folks take this stuff (especially metal guys.....so f'n serious...grrrr!! lol).
I'll give 'em that. The guys can seriously play.....I just got no love for hair metal unless it's the old genuine stuff. Even then it's a guilty pleasure at most.....That amount of cosmetics, even on a chick is a turn off to me..but to each his own...whatever sells tickets I guess....
Once I saw comment: "Lexxi can't play bass, there was a documental about them,and they said,that Satchel plays his bass parts". Jaw dropped. First i thought that he is kidding,but no. He took it seriously.
this is the first legitimately humorous rock star interview I've seen in a while (outside of Devin Townsend). good to see that unserious interviewers can still be serious musicians

These guys were born comedians, can't believe how quick witted they are in any interview and situation. Also totally didn't guess before doing some background checking that Satchel was Paul Gilbert's roommate and played with him on multiple occasions. Makes perfect sense how he's so freaking amazing player.
The banter between Satchel and Lexxi is pure joy to watch. And the way the dude handles the microphone reminds me of those SNL skits where Herb Welch keeps hitting people in the face with his microphone while he interviews them.
I know this is an old video (that I have seen, but hell, it never gets old), but I wanted to say my girlfriend and I saw steel panther recently and she absolutely loved it. She jumped on stage at one point...and a good time was had by all ☺
Also, the really funny part is that, when she was coming back to our seats, she ran into her 37 year old son lol. I have a few pics, but don't know how to share here. But steel panther fucking rules.
