I know this video was posted almost a year ago… I just wanted to let you know that it saved me from having to buy a new refrigerator! I have only had mine for 3 years. I went back and forth with Samsung for 3 weeks when it stopped cooling. The tech they sent to look at it did nothing but check the error code before ordering a part… he was here for 5 minutes. Then, they told me the part was unavailable and Samsung wouldn’t do anything for me!!! Thanks to your video, I was able to take it apart myself, simply to find out that ice was causing the fan not to work. I melted/removed the ice and it is working great. Thank you!!!!!!!! Samsung sucks lol.
Our fridge has been having problems with the icemaker from day one, but we've had it for 10 yrs, and I think the evaporator motor is bad I'm thinking of buying an American Made model in case we need parts in the future.
Have to say, thank you very much for this video. I have not had any luck with any technicians and this Samsung fridge. I've even been ghosted before! Watching this video, I fixed my fridge. Anyone else doing this - may I suggest also replacing the clip drain? I got a spare on amazon for hardly anything.
Great Video! EXCEPT: just a warning ice will have formed on the coils ,behind your back panel, so take care to let it defrost BEFORE you try to remove panel! It was so stuck and hubby gave it a big yank and cracked the plastic panel but it still would not come off.
Best instructional video I've seen in a long time. Very detailed. I agree with the others, Samsung refrigerators suck and they don't back them up... They told me I needed a new one when this $40 evaporator fan solved the problem..
Thank you for this video!! Question, after replacing the evaporator fan and plugging in fridge, an error message of 22E shows. What do you suggest to do?
My fan just stopped this evening without any noise or signs it was going. I see when the fridge starts the fan does a tiny jump then nothing. I checked the wires going to it and 122 volts ac. I check the continuity of the motor and 0L, so I then checked the ohms of the motor where it is measuring around 2.2-2.4 megohms.
not really helpful, not sure why people are up voting this - how did he know the fan was bad? did he test it? how did he test it? he just went right to replace the fan with no diagnostics - not helpful at all.
I'm sorry this video wasn't helpful for you. This is a replacement video. If you need troubleshooting, we do have those videos as well. Here is a link to the refrigerator troubleshooting: ruclips.net/p/PLKhohqC7zc-SsDVtlgN2XNbvIMZKpuQ4b

Great video. Do you have to reset the fan in order to run it again?

Nope... not in my new 2020 Samsung. Nothing there but a styrofoam duct. ( Because I took it completely apart). So,, where is my evaporator?
It was behind the Styrofoam.

Has anyone tried this to fix an error code 22C on a ssung fridge?
After watching this video and replacing the fan we got a 22e error which I’ve read is similar to 22c. Did you figure out how to fix this?
@@Fittrendz had to just call a repairman to fix it :(
