I went to school with Jonny (Langseth) through 8th grade when he was playing the local bars in Fargo. Have love following his journey since and wish him and his family all the best.

Jonny Lang was the original John Mayer. I miss him but I hope he’s living his best life. If ever he’s ready to come back out, I’m buying tickets.

I first heard him while I was working as a critical care Covid nurse and my spouse was dying of cancer. He spoke to my soul. I hope he comes back as anything he does has to be phenomenal!

I will support him with whatever he chooses. Although I am not a fan of the whole AI idea. I never actually physically met him, but i did see him in a free 4th of July outdoor concert at a park in Iowa City, Iowa. At that time, he was nobody. But let me tell u, the whole dang park was in awe when he took stage! Young ladies were storming the stage because he was a cutie. He was young. He is so talented in all that he does. I wish nothing but the best for him. Good luck Johnny!

I've seen him LIVE 20+ times (I've lost count). I'd love to see him LIVE 20+ more times in whatever capacity he's capable of.

Only take care of your health first. If your fans are really fans they will support you in what ever you decide to do and do it at your own pace not the fans pace. God Bless you

Have been going to see Jonny perform since he was 16. My 13 y/o daughter joined me. We continued going to his show every time he came to DC or Fla. we met Jonny and he is such a kind and humble young man. When my daughter was in Med School in Baltimore Jonny’s singing and guitar playing helped her with stress. He came another year after she was married with a baby and her clinical rotation prevented her from going to show with me. Jonny made a video with me saying Happy Birthday Maxine. We miss you
I have been heartbroken knowing Jonny has been suffering with his beautiful soulful voice. I’ miss seeing him all through these years of COVID and negative energy in our country.
Jonny coming back in any way he chooses I will support. I feel like his surrogate mom.

Jonny is a great guy and I wish him the best in whatever he does. A talented, humble musician he could pretty much do whatever road he decides to go down. Good luck Jonny!!

I was in high school talking my first guitar class when Jonny Lang came out. He's been one of my favorite blues guys since. He's a damn good dude too in person. So much passion in his playing/singing. It would be nice to at least seem him out playing on a stage. It's worrisome that he's been very quiet the past few years without a word.

I’ve had Jonny on my show and he’s a really great guy, and wildly talented. I hope he comes back in some capacity. I would love to see a Blues Super Group with other players

I think he should just find a good singer and head back out.

I'd rather see him embrace his situation and continue like John Prine did to see how awesome his music could be with the voice God gave him. Who knows, could be a next level of Johnny Lang we haven't seen yet.
I lost most of my ability to play guitar anymore as a guitarist due to a spine injury, still perform when asked and do the best I can. Not as good as I was once, but still good enough to make it happen. Hopeful he is too.

I didn't know he had issues....what happened to him? I have his first two albums and they're awesome...he can do whatever he wants...if your voice breaks, hire a singer Johnny....you can write songs and play the hell out of a guitar....don't think it'll end your career at all.

First: praying for Jonny, that the Lord may heal his voice. But if that doesn’t happen for a while, maybe he can join a band and rip that guitar at for us. Those guitar solos were some of the best parts of his live performances.

If I were to guess, I would say if he does vocal work in the future, it will be with a less aggressive style. I think he could pull that off. He will do what he is able to do. He's a talented guy.

No AI, first and foremost. He did an acoustic tour in 2005 or so. Maybe a possibility...God's plan. I miss seeing him live (I've lost count).

He is a guitar player so he could always tour and play and have someone else do the singing.

This is not entirely accurate. I was his opening act in 2013 (or 12, forgot) on his tour dubbed "fight for my soul". He was a super generous host and killed it every night

At this point there are very few musical acts that can even make a decent living. The days of inspired R&B music may be over....

4 years of treatment and therapy would seem sufficient for recovery.Hope he got 2nd ,3rd opinions from specialists and hoping he can return singing as usual.Sometimes pro athletes suffer career ending injury's when their body doesn't respond. Not a fan of the AI thing especially at his age.

I vote he either joins a killer band as a guitar player.. Or does an instrumental record and waits and see about his voice.. He's way too talented to quit now. I don't dig the AI idea.

He could find a singer for his band like Kenny Wayne Sheperd has had and just concentrate on guitar. Doesn't have the chops of Kenny Wayne I guess but who does?

  • @bradbond8874
