I love Shine Armor! I started using it a couple months ago and I'm already on my 3rd bottle. Not because it goes fast or anything... (seriously, a little goes a long way).... but because I discovered I can use it to shine random things around the house 😁 And as far as my car goes... that bitch shines like a diamond!!

Replying to this ancient comment but, Other reviewers have pointed out that shine armor washes off extremely easily and has absolutely no staying power. Hopefully this helps anyone else just now watching this.
i bought a bottle of the shine armor to test on my friends black car and it was hands down the best stuff ive ever used it rained the next 2 days and raining today and it looks just like it did when we finished i love it never buying another detailer
Ive used shine armour on my black ford and my siver nissan 3 months before i had to touch them in the rain the wet just gets pushed of by the wind. And it goes on everything rubbers glass etc.
Try to find a "review" that doesn't also advertise a discount on this stuff. Sorry, but that makes the whole video suspect. I don't trust these social media products.
Erdie5 and you are right to to do. I advertised stuff on my social media that I didn’t believe in or didn’t like - what I did is I didn’t directly endorse it or said I loved it. I just put it on and took pics.
But there are so many products and I can’t decide. The reason I started looking is when I exit stores there are all sorts of bugs and tree wax on my new car. It’s stuck to it too. I’m so pissed. Will this help? I’m seeing one black spot where it looks like paint chipped off - from the stupid tree sap! It wasn’t even raining. Please help!
Shine armor doesn’t last as a protectant for like weeks or few washes this goes away pretty quick! Cheap but you got to use a lot of it or like every after 2-3 washes.
Perfect 1, 2 wks then reapply, gives u , me, every1 who loves car to spend their time, win win & being $40+ in Aus, u get to waste ur money too. Nother win
14:00 Awesome! No Quarter. I used Shine Armor on my 2019 ZL1 (Mosaic Black Metallic) and I really like the black smooth glossy look. It does seem to attract a fair amount of dust, but you can wipe it off easily. I had some bird crap on my car and came off easy just wetting the towel a bit and came off with little rubbing.
Exactly the car will still get dusty or dirty over a couple days but if you just keep up with wiping it off it will stay super clean for at last a full week before reapplication is needed. Way longer if you’re car is garage kept.
Any product that wields such misleading TV ads as this one sports has _got_ to be suspect - at best. The ad brags about the toughness of Shine Armor by showing a greasy fried egg sliding off a car hood, when at such an angle, a greasy fried egg would scoot readily on a concrete driveway. The same reality-disconnect "shines" through with their nuts and bolts demo. sheesh.
Just ordered my 'shine armor' (UK), let's be honest these products sell themselves. Anybody who spends money on detailing products is the type of person who enjoys cleaning there car tto a high standard and never really lets it get seriously dirty if they can help it. There not generally brought by the average car owners who isn't interested in the high gloss finish. So these video's are for the people who know what cleaning a car is all about
Okay, just used it myself. From what I've been hearing, this only lasts like two weeks of car use before the Shine Armor starts to wane, so I didn't use it on my car's body. Washed my car today, but here's how I did the tires. Had a two brush set for tires. Filled up a bucket with car wash soap (Meguiars Crystal Car Wash), used the broad brush for the tires themselves, the wire brush for the rims and the hard to reach spots to get all the heavy road grime off, but still some remained, despite my efforts. Rinsed tires, began to wash the car proper. Used Armor All Tire Foam, (on the tires), let set as I went about drying the car, Used Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Foam as final coat to tires themselves after drying the car. Rims looked underwhelming despite my cleaning them earlier with the car soap, the brushes didn't get all the road grime off. They were dull looking too. I had recently bought that Shine Armor, but was skeptical about using it on my car (Used Turtle Wax Ice on my car for the wax instead). Used the Shine Armor on the rims. Kid you not took off the remaining road grime like it was nothing, even in the hard to reach lug nut crevices that the tire brushes didn't do anything to. The rims are shiny and clean now. Not spectacular, like chrome (which they aren't), but it was a noticeable improvement. Looking at one that I used Shine Armor on, and the other one, you could see the difference. Tires and Rims are shiny (though the Armor All Extreme Tire Shine makes it so shiny that the rims can't compare). Shine Armor cleans, it shines, and the rims feel super smooth. I mean, it does what it advertises. I also keep hearing that it's a good touch up in between washes and waxing, so I'll have to see how the rims look in a few weeks.
Hi just seen your video very good the armour shield used it for the first time about a week ago I live in the UK by the way and the weather was very good cold miserable didn’t take too long used about half hour. very good for what it is It lasted for a month or so happy with that just go and do it again but looking good at the moment enjoyed your blog all the best from Terry PS cost me 20 English pounds from Amazon
Thanks for the feedback Terry 👍🏼 Yep it's good stuff people just get mad that you have to reapply ever so often as if it's some sort of magical never wash your car again formula 🤣
Question: do you / can you add *Shine Armor* after you use a liquid wax application as a top coat? I use a liquid wax every 2 months. Is purpose to alleviate the liquid wax all together? I use a Megiuars liquid wax. And, how often to apply Shine Armor? Yep, I love detailing my car too! 😎
Yes, you can. However regular wax is unnecessary if you use shine armor. I find that wax is a old technology now with the advancements in detailing products in the last 3 years. Give this a try it’s amazing. Just a quick wipe down every few days with a microfiber and your car will look amazing.
I just received a bottle in the email. How much of the bottle do you use to to cover the entire M4? The bottle is on the small size. I have a F90 M5 that replaced my F80 M3, Toyota Tacoma crewcab, and a GTI. I am thinking I will need another bottle or two. Looking forward to using it and how it compares to Bead Maker that I am currently using.
I haven't tried the shine armor yet but judging by your vid it wont bead as well as my old standby colinite insulator wax. It does look a whole lot easy to apply though.
Yep whole front is PPF expel. But this still is an amazing product and still super slick on raw paint like I showed. Even my E30 with poop 💩 paint it makes the bottle glide right off.
I don't see haze but, I do see a reflection of the sky which makes it look hazey. But as for what the scent of the product smells like, who's gonna be sniffing to see what the outside of your car is gonna smell like?
Your in the U.S. I'm in Australia. I have an old saying, if it's any good it's should be available in shops.. Perhaps they are your way, I don't know.. Thank you for your review.. Cheers mate.
I bought Shine Armor - not a total waste of money but definitely an over hyped product. Does not shed water at all, does not shine a 9 year old car any better than a much cheaper spray type wax. It is easy to apply though. I would not buy this again and when I left negative comments on the Shine Armor site that advertises on FaceBook I was blocked (Surprise surprise!)
careful with that half hood thing, I did half the hood on my friends truck with a special polymer wax and the rest of the truck with Turtle wax. He asked me 5 YEARS LATER what I used on his hood because it always beaded on that side and no where else on the truck. I told him what I used but the company was no longer in business.
hope they don't take this off. first I went and asked a pro shop in my area, and learned that this is for new cars only. I use to think that wax will protect against the sun etc.. truth is there is protection in the paint for that now if your car is not too old and that wax ect... does not do this the only thing it does it make it a bite shinnier, that is all. and by the way a pro job is around 2000$ Canadien. these things on an older car that has been used normaly say for 4 or 7 years will only make allll the miniature normal scratches on your car stand out more!!! lol they will be shinnier is all! etc... so before wasting money thinking this will take the rincles of a 70 year olds face lol they do sell that stuff, go ask a pro near your home and if he is honest you will learn a lot ;) a car well washed if it's older then that is all it needs. he told me the truth.
About a week or two if you just dust the car. Nothing a one time thing I always clean my car once a week for bugs and such. But if you’re wondering for the water bearing protection probably two weeks would be good before another cleaning.
If it rains about a week for full benefits. I think that's about perfect as I clean my car at least once a week. Super easy to just use a microfiber to get get the dust off and it looks like you just cleaned it. I love this stuff.
Guess what happened I put that shine armor on my car yesterday and then it snow a lil just enough to cover the suv and I seen nothing my car was so Snow White 💦 drops line and white dusty slat at the bottom and I’m very disappointed because I had to clean my car again so what protection is this shine armor is for. So I’m going to wash my car and put it back on again and hit it with some wax on top of it and if this suv come back dusty and rain or snow drops I’m done
Carbon collection is way better product and last way longer. Then claims on the shine armor are ridiculous. Prevents scratching is not even true and I am not sure why they say that. Blake your car is awesome! Don’t let the bottled side down even with a clear bra. You will scratch the paint if you let any bottle side down. Just for those they may try it. If you have to check the slickness use a microfiber or feel gently with the back of your hand.
This was painful to watch. You have a vast collection of detialing stuff and you didnt even use a quick detailer to clean the excess. Car may look clean but bet its swirl city on there
Oh, I HATE baby powder scented anything. That’d be a no for me, I wouldn’t buy it directly because of that smell. I don’t care how great it might work, that scent would turn me right off.
I use F-11 Top Coat and love it. I was going to try that Shine Armour because I do see it all over the internet. And it’s a lot cheaper. F-11 is pretty expensive. Loved the video bro. I may just buy it also and do a comparison with the F11 and Shine Armour and see how they work

Haha true 🤦♂️

I was wanting to see some nuts and bolts dropped on the hood, as seen on tv
Not convinced this is an unbiased product comparison when you get a kick back for every bottle sold. Props for being up front though.

You would be a 100% correct I’ve seen real detailers use it and they said it’s one of the Worst products they’ve used
Phone Phone you would be wrong shine armor is terrible I’ve seen tons of videos on it
i bought a bottle of the shine armor to test on my friends black car and it was hands down the best stuff ive ever used it rained the next 2 days and raining today and it looks just like it did when we finished i love it never buying another detailer
Would be cool to see a wear test. Give it a few days or week. Then show who lasted longer
I’ve tried shine armor ...and it works ....awesome shine and slippery as can be. I am sold.
That is right to the point, and honest comment. You should have made a video and saved viewers 10 minutes of their time.
Does the protection last long? In Another video I watched, the shine armor’s protection died after a couple of water tests.
Ive used shine armour on my black ford and my siver nissan 3 months before i had to touch them in the rain the wet just gets pushed of by the wind.

My car is coated with opticoat pro plus. Will it hurt to use the shine armor during washes as a sealant for the coating and to enhance gloss?
It wouldn’t hurt it at all. Just add shine and refresh protection.
