Hmm, one of my favorites (Chris Poland, Megadeath) also uses a very legato heavy style. Though his is out of necessity as he injured his pinky growing up and cant use it so he had to find a style that allows him to make good use of his other 3 fingers. He also utilizes some of the sickest bends ive ever heard. Ive always gravitated more to Adrian as a player but i might have to give Dave more focus.
Hey Chris! Was scrolling through RUclips & came across your video. Good teaching skills. Would like to see your band play sometime. I love Iron Maiden. Have a wonderful day! 😊 Cindy 🤘
@cindywolfe7997 I understand. We had been trying to get into the Bluebird there but no luck. Ironically I go to Evansville every once in a while and will be there next Sunday
@@chrisdunnettmusic ohh! Ok. Well, let me know when you do come here to play, & I'll see if Carole can come down here too. She lives by Terra haute Indiana. Ok. Have a blessed day. 😊
@thejusticeization yes...and in essence I do too as my pickup selector is taped so that it stays between the brigde and middle pickup lol. I actually have the model DiMarzio he used but just hadn't put it in the Guitar. Thanks for sharing the info much appreciated
I have a style that’s similar to a mix of Janick Gers, Dave Murray, and Ritchie Blackmore. Ritchie and Janick are definitely my biggest influences and favorites. I’d love to see you make an analysis of Gers. Perhaps in the future, I could join as the Janick Gers (kidding ofc😂). I plan on starting a band called Ash Mountain and keeping my current influences.
Coolness. Thanks. I made this video as I had been doing all of Dave Murray's Guitar parts when I was in an Iron Maiden tribute band. Love Maiden but I doubt I would do a video on Jannick. Thanks for watching and good luck with your band
@@chrisdunnettmusic thank you brother, I seriously did appreciate this video as it’ll help with some legato pieces that can be incorporated in my style. Even with that though, Gers also has quite a bit of legato in his style.
Thanks. Do you mean do I play in any other bands? Not steadily at the moment although I do do some fill in work here and there and am open to invitations ;)
So many questions I do have, Lol, 1st do you have to have permission from Iron maiden to cover there songs for profit, 2nd I need a rig run down badly, Lol, My nextone stage just aint cutting it for high gain maiden even with Eq, and 3rd you guys nailed it with that singer, he is close to Bruces vocals, and I am curious about copyright cus I toss a vid or 2 out just for some freinds of mine and they get copy right blocked big time, How are you all making vids and not getting the ole black ball?
i started learning guitar and music theory and just learned the pull offs are a flick and it makes sense why i couldn't make it sound out. no i am putting focus on the flick. my pointer finger slips of the high E when I try to practice it. any tips?
Wow amazing knowledge and playing, great lesson/ intro to Dave's playing
Thank you very much :)
Great stuff Chris!
Thanks man much appreciated

Thank you so much! We are playing Atlanta (Woodstock GA) April 6th and Cincinnati (Covington Ky) April 13th. Are you near either of those?
@@chrisdunnettmusic No. I live in Evansville Indiana. That'll be too far for me.

Great lesson thank you!
You're welcome hope it helps you out
Dave Murray uses humbuckers. He used Dimarzio super distortions in the early 80's and then he used seymour duncan rails on his strats

@WhoDaF0ok1sThatGuy Awesome! I like all 3 of them and glad it helped. Learning Dave's parts definitely improved my Legato technique lol
@@chrisdunnettmusic he is a master of legato after all! Haha
Great stuff
Thank you!

@@Fkku-r6d as far as copyrights it all depends on the band Iron Maiden is very supportive of bands covering their stuff other bands not so much

Thought Dave used humbuckers in his strat instead of single coils, ?
@Fkku-r6d I addressed this in comments see below
