Those were simpler times. Funny, that when you go through a certain time period, like the 60s, you maybe don’t appreciate things. Then when you get older, and reflect, you wish you could go back - maybe for a day or two, just to soak it all up…kiss that girl you were afraid to approach for a date, joke with your father again, eat one of your mother’s homemade tacos, and maybe do it all again and…well…yes..appreciate it more.

Aún eres joven, yo acabo de cumplir 80 y hermanos, amigos y mis papis fallecieron hace muchos años. Solo tengo un maravilloso hijo de 45 y mi esposa falleció cuando ella tenía 26 años. Sé que se me viene el final y no me molesta irme. Lo que me da mucha pena es que mi hijo va a sufrir y yo nunca más lo volveré a ver. Es la vida. Mientras estés vivo disfruta la vida. Felicidades!

my dad listened to much older music, his passion was in barbershop quartet singing, he used to be in several within his life, i will admit when i was younger i couldn't stand it, but as an adult i can appreciate it more, some of the songs i know by heart.
so much of the modern music sucks and i can't get into it, but this older stuff i have learned to really enjoy, before listening to this i was enjoying some ray Conniff music and i love it, people will say his music is elevator music, and i will say i wish his music was played in elevators because general elevator music never sounds nearly as good lol.

I am a great fan of Bert Kaempfert since 1970 when I was in England. His music is so soothing to listen . He is one of my favourite trumpeter.
Toda música fue mucho mejor a lo que se intenta tocar ahora en estos tiempos. Tanto instrumental como con letra.
Tristemente vemos cómo la juventud y los no tan jóvenes se entregan a las canciones con letras tan sucias y llenas de groserias y vulgaridad es en dónde aunque no queramos creer los mensajes son dirigidos a la promiscuidad a la vida vacía y si nos ponemos a ver en estos últimos meses no hay cantante que no te invite a la borrachera en sus canciones, como si todos fuéramos borrachos empedernidos.
Me niego a aceptar esa basura como cultura mexicana, en México no era así antes, pero ahora lamentablemente es lo que las estaciones de radio promocionan, es lo que se escucha. Incluso los temas de violencia y drogas, haciendo apología al delito. Y después esos mismos comentaristas de radio tienen sus espacios noticiosos en dónde se quejan y dicen "La violencia incontrolable en Mexicoooo!!", cuando ellos quieran o no son parte la podredumbre que existe en el mundo.
Por eso, ciento cincuenta mil veces, prefiero escuchar la música tan bonita como está.
En dónde además de que es incluso más antigua que nosotros pues nuestros padres la escuchaban, es tan bonita que hasta a nosotros de una generación más acá, nos sigue encantando.

Wieso? Er war doch sehr, sehr anerkannt in der Fachwelt. Selbst so großartige Posaunisten und Bandleader wie Herbolzheimer und Whighams haben sich in sein Orchester eingereit!

My dad was a hotelier and this was one of the popular albums of the early 1960s. I was a young lad then. I remembered my late father and his friends danced on the stage. Afrikaan Beat was music I grew up with. It brings back fond memories. I will purchase the album.

I always heard these tunes and never knew the names of them! Memories of when my lovely parents were alive - we used to go camping in Europe with my uncle and cousins every year. They always had this playing on our Motorola car radio. Everything seemed good with the world in the 60's. Bert Kaempfert was a genius!
Then I grew up and they were gone and world turned into 'Hell on Earth'. It felt like the movie 'Hellraiser' was really happening. People started getting stabbed in the streets or acid thrown over them, EVERY DAY this happened and was on the news. WFT happened to out peaceful country? Certain people arrived that were NOT peaceful and brought their terror with them! Those days of Elysium gone forever.......😢😮😭 The world continues to decline day by day.....

La primera vez que lo escuché fue cerca del año 1977-1978 mientras mi papá estudiaba, siempre escuchando música en la Radio El Conquistador o San Cristóbal (Santiago de Chile). Que bellos recuerdos y que privilegio de escuchar musica de verdad.
No puedo agregar mas de lo que voy leyendo de los seguidores. Me emociona que todos coincidimos en los mismos recuerdos. Este genio marcó algo especial en nuestra vida.
