Looking forward to this, I'd only considered Ryzen budgets lately, so it will be nice so see an Intel one come through. Have to say, more interested in the GPU to be chosen, given the prices lately.
I tend to do very light gaming only, but run my computer's video output through my 1080p 120hz television. I need an external Blu Ray player and a separate Surround Sound setup. Perhaps you can build a Home Entertainment build that has built in DVD and/or Blu Ray capability and Surround Sound. Since I sit about six feet from the 41 inch TV, pairing this setup with either a long wired or wireless keyboard and mouse would also make sense. I somewhat doubt you will be able to make the rig 3D Blu Ray Compatible, but if you can I'd like to know how. If nothing else, I would be interested in what sort of Video Card you would recommend for such a setup...
Lack of HDMI port seems an odd choice for a budget board that surely is more likely to be chosen for a media center PC. Granted you can usually use a DVI to HDMI adapter and it will actually feed native HDMI, in my experience still supporting audio even though DVI isn't supposed to. But still that seems a huge oversight.
Hey Blunty any suggestions or update videos on your streaming/rec builds for console gaming with msi and amd components on a budget? Love your helpful content. I am primarily a console gamer looking for a pc/streaming/rec/editing build on a budget. I have seen your other rec build video using the AMD ryzen 3 1200 processor and it was very helpful. Keep up the great content bro.
Now that we actually have a budget coffee lake motherboard, let's see if we can actually beat the Xbox One X at $500 now! IMO, I'd suggest these specs (don't have to do them, just suggestions) Already got the mobo so don't need to mention that Core i3 8100 Stock Cooler 2x8 16GB Ram (any speed or model) GTX 1060 6GB (if u can find one at MSRP lul) 1TB Hard Drive WITH Intel Optane Power Supply don't matter much to me Case u do whatever (just don't do a testbench plz lul)
For live, Gaming, Streaming, video editing, nice cheap budget ish build please Blunty

Hmm, This may be overdone, but what about your version of a system that matches the XBoxOneX, PS4 Pro, or maybe even the Switch?
Does that mean that building a i5 8400 build need to use RAM of 2666mhz instead of 2400mhz??? Need help . Thanks
Hey how about a budget content creation machine? Then benchmark it against r2-see through
I would like to see an i7 gaming/streaming pc please.
whats that 6-pin power connector for on the motherboard? is that to power the M.2 drive?
No. It’s to supplement pcie power, useful for especially hungry GPU and overrclocking.
i am thinking a low low end home theater build
At 1:24 I heard Kmart instead of K marked. That was a very confusing 10 seconds of my life spent deducing the truth meaning 😅
STREAMING RIG PLEASE, i need that i for for my streaming rig

Core i3 8100
Stock Cooler
2x8 16GB Ram (any speed or model)
GTX 1060 6GB (if u can find one at MSRP lul)
1TB Hard Drive WITH Intel Optane
Power Supply don't matter much to me
Case u do whatever (just don't do a testbench plz lul)
Optane has almost no benefit in gaming though, and illd probably go with a ryzen chip over the 8100 but im not sure how much the 8100 costs rn
Better late than never.
build a bang for buck 1440p gaming pc ;)
