      It’s not hating, but Bronny is getting the because of his dad. Some of it has been negative and some has been positive. I’ve seen Bronny play and he can ball, but compared to other top tier players, he’s still not that good.

      Yea, his audition in college was going to go two ways; either he took off and solidified his place in the top 30 of the draft, or he was mediocre and at least could say he played D-1 and then go off into private ventures and make tons of cash anyways.
      He wins either way, but I think he would rather make he dad extra proud and make the NBA.

    • @YaMommasNextDoorNeighbor

      Feel for him?....You are only saying that because of who his father is. Do you know how many players have/are going through the same thing Bronny is going through in college basketball. The only difference between him and others is that he has a damn good life if he decided to leave the school. So many other options besides playing ball at USC. I think he'll be alright. You should save your "worries" for someone who's situation actually requires it.

    If you watch in the highlights he never looks like he going as hard as he can, he looks very timid almost as if he’s testing out his body. Even on the fast break alley oop they tried he did not look like he was running as fast as he could. It looks mental I hope he gets past it, he almost lost his life on the basketball court I can’t imagine the ptsd he battles through just to step on it again let alone trying to play at collegiate level. When his heart races because they’re running up and down the court what is he thinking? That’s so scary I’m wishing him well.

    @robo_goat69 11 месяцев назад +591

    The guy was hospitalized w cardiac arrest in late July. So the fact that he’s back on court in less than 5 months and looks somewhat functional is impressive. Conditioning is a factor which is to be expected. He looks heavy. Doesn’t have his cruising speed or extra gear. Which is to be expected for a guy who was hospitalized w cardiac arrest less than five months ago and is attempting to return in season, trying to rebuild himself in live games.

    • @johnkabalu4956

      No LiAngelo ball made a really bad mistake and that’s why he isn’t in the NBA and when Lamelo recruited LiAngelo ball and he got to play in the NBA he did not do good and that’s why he got cut and never played again same goes to Mikey Williams he allegedly did something extremely involving a firearm and that’s why if you search up 2024 NBA mock draft he is extremely low or he’s not there that’s how bad a bad choice can effect your future especially if your young and bright and you’ve got millions of people following every thing you do and there has being countless examples of it across the world of sports and the world in general

    Guessing most of the commenters didn't follow his HS games much, this is pretty much how he was always looked. Sure he went through a lot, but he was never a "take over a game" or "go out and make your own shot" type of player. He's a good defensive and great athlete, that has always been second fiddle on his teams and never "the man." If he gets drafted it will because its a good narrative for the NBA and Lebron or the team wants to have Lebron for a season since he wants to play with Bronny for a year in the league. Unless something DRASTICALLY changes in his game he shouldn't be drafted at least not this year..

    There are people who will say this is him testing his body, all that. But this is actually the same thing that happened in high school, with the same root-cause. It's not that he's passive or timid. It's that his handle and creation ability is, on a scale from 1-10, a negative 2. He literally cannot do anything on the ball. He just passes it back to his teammates. I'm rooting for him, but I've honestly never seen a D1 guard with less creation ability. I don't know how he got through so many levels of ball to this point.

      I don’t think it looks too fast for him it looks perfect for him and his abilities. I think he is just being very passive and timid because he’s overthinking of what the media will say about him the following day. He can shoot, he can attack, he can pass, he can defend, (needs to work on his handle and counters for coming off screens) but he’s acting like he’s not capable when he is. Some people are born with a mindset to kill and others are timid and don’t like the feeling of being critiqued. Thats how I see it I just feel like no one’s had that real talk with him. I heard Shaq say it about Zion the other day … some people just have that look and Bronny doesn’t. I wish the best for him though and know he’ll make it to the league eventually when he figures it out.

He was good against high schoolers, because they high schoolers. I genuinely don't think you guys understand how many dawgs are in the NCAA (and G-League for that matter). It's a den of wolves out there. Everybody is hungry. The heart thing is going to be used as an excuse, but he was never going to be any more prepared regardless if it happened or not. A lot of y'all are more scared to just admit that he wasn't as elite of a caliber coming out of high school as you think. It's ok. He WILL get better and grow as a player. He has all the tools and arguably the greatest player in history behind him to guide his journey. He just needs to polish those tools to get to the next level. The game speed from high school to college is SO much different. You can tell he's playing rushed and hasn't learned to play the game at his pace, or set that pace for himself. He's taking one or two dribbles and then leaving his feet to make some of his passes. Elite point guards just don't make some of the mental mistakes he's making at this stage.

    As much as I'd like to see Bronny make it to the league (on his own merits); he just doesn't have "it". I know folks will say that it's only his first few games or that he's nervous/anxious; but REAL ATHLETES (not just basketball players) can recognize that he's too many steps behind and not skilled enough to both compete AND manage all the attention coming his way. Every player (even his own teammates) is going to want to size him up because of his name. If Bronny was 6-9 like Lebron then maybe that size would save him but he's not a strong ball handler, not a strong shooter and not a strong defender. Again, I hope he improves but after a LIFE of nothing but the best instruction and exposure...he ain't it.
