Does BIT measure the diameter and length of the borehole or shaft?

It only measures the inclination
It is lightweight and one man with no crane can run the measurement

@@dxbfortune The depth is a by-product of the inclination measurement, as there is a very accurate depth wheel being used as part of the measurement. When the centralizer reaches the bottom of the borehole you get the reading of its depth

Diameter/profile: No - the bit only measures the axis
Length: Yes - but it is much cheaper and same accuracy to test with a rope and a stone ;-)
