My children and I really enjoy your videos. 3.75 inch Star Wars is what we collect and hope that you could include most of them. Please continue your videos and include some playsets or vehicles. Maybe a suggestion, do some Rebels vehicles.
The Dark Empire Comics are some of my favourite Star Wars stories of all time. I love the coloring and the art, the figure definitely reflects that, all the lightsabers in the comic were basic and colored either white or shaded red, the outfits of the characters were also given a very simple design. The art on the comic was done by Cam Kennedy he has a very distinctive style.
Plus, it's nice to have main characters in different attire. They weren't in their staple outfits very long, if you think about it. It's sort of like you get some day-to-day outfits for an escape from Yavin base, or some other in between adventures. As a kid, I also liked the expanded universe line for the extras you can use in these side quests as well.
I have three of the Dark Empire figures. This figure comes from a great scene in the comic where Leia ignites her lightsaber to face Luke and the Emperor. That’s probably why the cloak has red highlights from the glow of her sabre.
Great video! Thank you! Yeah, about the choice of comic book image for the card art . . . that's pretty much what the entire comic book series looks like: hyper-stylised with a trippy "atmospheric lighting" colour scheme, and you'd be hard-pressed to recognise any of the characters if they weren't called by name. It's a fun story, and worth a read, but I'm definitely not a fan of the art style.
Dark Empire was the comic that really revitalised the Star Wars brand after years of neglect. That first series will always be a favourite of mine and I do think the artwork was really cool looking. Nowadays you don’t get such stylised art it’s all so clean and cartoonish.
These were pretty scarce in 1998, I remember. I got one of each of these expanded universe figs and I was lucky to have found them. Scalpers probably got the rest, lol. These 6 POA figures are a joke, now.
I think they did a better job with the 5/6 POA figures back in the '90s than they did with the releases they did around the Rogue One time frame. Not counting the he-man look of the sculpt though :)

Happy holidays bro! Have a great one.
My original Power Of The Force Darth Vader's lightsaber is also pink. Probably from being in the package for over 20 years. Enjoyed the review, man.
Mine is reddish orange.

I bought mine loose, and it came with a yellow lightsabre, which works much better!
Good to see you are back! EU never really did it for me, but this figure is nice

Thanks for posting this video! This is one of the EU figures that I don't have, so it's very cool to see what it looks like up close. Awesome review!👍

To each their own I guess - I actually really like the art style.

Nice to see a new video
Your channel deserves more views. Thank you for the high quality reviews and useful insight.
I miss your reviews Aaron! Start doing more!
Thanks, I’m trying. Working a full time job while building my business hasn’t left much time for doing reviews.
I got the same Chewbacca that’s in your Intro for Christmas.
Sweet!
It kinda looks like Leia from around 3 miles away
