The blues was created by the descendants of the enslaved in America and it originated from Gospel music, as the African Americans on the plantation sung gospel songs to encourage their spiritual souls from their harsh day-to-day experiences of being savagely beaten and verbally destroyed. The Blues are poignant part of American history, and the creators of this genre of music, African Americans, " Black Folks" deserve honorable recognition and credit. This is the primary reason why America is so incredibly great!!!!!!

He's not, or at least he's not playing all that you are hearing anyway. They are singing to a back tracking (where are the drums?) and if you go to where the guitar solo comes in at around 2:58, he is initially still using a strumming pattern with his hand playing multiple strings at once, when the solo itself is picking style playing single notes or strings. Oh and Chris has plenty on them both too, even though that are decent singers at the very least.

I won't even begin to try to differentiate one style of guitar playing from another for obvious reasons but I stand by my comment with no apology regarding the singers which I believe are better than decent.
