I just got approved for my first apartment and I’m 31! I used to feel so bad about being a late bloomer- but God’s timing is perfect! 🩷 congratulations girl!! 💖👏🏾🎉

Don't feel ashamed ladies. I just got my first place this year and I'll be 27! I've been in my career for 2 years but the cost of living has skyrocketed so I'm JUST now feeling ready to move out.
I'm loving this sisterhood! Thank you all for sharing your experience, it helps the others to know that they're not alone.

Oh girl! You have so much time! At 21, I was literally just living life day by day. You’re honestly doing great. Use this time to put money away, enjoy not having a bunch of responsibilities and know that your time will come 💖
This is how I’m coming now. I will be on apartment 2. I had my first one at 21. & let it go at 24. I just turned 25 & saving to move in a few months
I agree. You have so much time. I used to feel that way and now I'm 30 living in my own place. My advice is to use this time in your early 20s to travel, work on yourself, have fun, develop new skills and meet new people 😀 your dream apartment/home will come. Don't be in a rush to be an adult. I don't want any young adult getting into a financial burden or responsibilities they are not ready to handle.
I grew up in kenya. I remember wondering if anything would ever make sense at 21😮. 8 yrs later at 29 I just moved into my first place alone.

This came right on time, im 26 and I’ve been BEATING myself up for not having my own place right now, but I’ve been blessed to focus on school to reach new heights. But watching my peers at my age and younger have their own place, cars and etc were super discouraging. But watching this video, just really made me feel better. Thank you so much.

Glad i'm not the only late bloomer. I've recently applied for a new apartment at 33! Excited and scared at the same time since this will be my first time ever moving away from home AND out of state for a new job. Can't wait to see what the future will hold !!!

Same! I’m 33 and I will be moving into my first place in a few months. It is exciting but I’m so nervous. I just started a new remote job last month and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I hope everything is going well for you. 💞

I’m 24 and always lived with fam so I’m living through you. Can’t wait for this phase but it’s also a bit anxiety-inducing. Definitely need pro and cons video
Go for it. There are literally no cons. Make sure you stay with the fam to save up like three full moths of salary as an emergency fund, and any deposit and costs that you might need at moving in then move. Look for an appartment you can afford that does not cost more than 40% of your monthly salary, read through the contract and do it. It is scary for 1 minute and then it is the best thing ever.
Take your time. It can be rewarding but also expensive. Sounds like you have great parents like I did and like I am.
First place , studio apartment at 28! Yes girls, I know people are telling you that you are too grown and you need to hurry up and do this and that. Don't be discouraged, ask and you shall receive. My little new home has a tennis court, gym , and pool. Somebody is gonna give you a chance.
P.S I also dreamed about cooking in my own kitchen

As so many have said before me, thank you so much for this!! As a late bloomer, I’m drawn to a studio apartment because it gives me the same comfort level as just having my own bedroom and bathroom in the family home. I think it’ll be a good stepping stone for my transition into total independence. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Subscribed ❤

A good hack to store cleaning supplies in a tight space like your washer and dryer is in is to get an over the door hanging storage shelf if there's space between the door and the front of the washer/dryer :)
For that wall in the entry way, you could add a series of little shelves vertically lining the wall for added storage for knick knacks.
I was thinking the same thing. I might add a little mirror above the shelves.

I’m older than you but I was excited when I got my very own place as a teen. Had to… my mom passed when I was 14. I wasn’t ready but I had no other choice. Love the space! I’m especially a sucker for clean white walls. Unsolicited tip: I too live in a studio apartment (kinda the same layout) so I can say from experience a bed in this type of setting gets old fast. Especially if you live there for a while and start accumulating things. I was super against any type of modular furniture when I first moved into my own space but I’m seriously considering a convertible (they make them built for daily sleep now and if you find one in the style of your apartment/other furniture it can work). You’ll be amazed at how bigger the place looks when you have more floor “real estate” freed up. Good luck and congrats 🙏🏾

great space. In the space where you are putting a vanity you could consider a wardrobe for a coat closet and extra storage. Also the wall transiting from entry way to the kitchen would make a great accent wall.

You should hang the mirror on the blank wall (if the space allows it). Also, your closet is goals! I live in a studio too and my closet space is about half the size 😅

Your studio is so cute. I have been living in studios for the past 3 years and I love them so much. As far as your cleaning supplies Get a door-hanging shoe organizer and put it on the inside of your laundry door. My studio has a bathtub and I don't even use it. lol.

after watching this, i went to view the rest of your channel and realized there’s a typo on your thumbnail (for this vid) lol but i love your place and this just makes me feel not so late at moving out. i’ve been trying to move since 22 but i’m 27 now and i’m still with my mom. hopefully i can move out by 30

You could get a “let out couch” with a very comfortable mattress that way you have more room for other things and living room/ bedroom style thing.
I was thinking about doing that but I know there would be so many days I would be too tired to let the couch out 😂. But I might still get one for company in addition to a new bed.
