Heavies weekend Avon Dassett , Bedford RL in Micks hole

Here we are at Avon Dassett again. How annoying is when your mates show you how its done? The first driver through the 'hole' picks up a piece of wood which keeps water away from the fan, and he drives straight through. I have a go, the water's rather deep, the fan dips in and blows water all over the distributor, plugs and leads, resulting in a huge misfire and loss of power in the RL, along with general mirth and derision from the assembled spectators. The old RL, running on 2 or 3 cylinders, struggles to climb out of the hole . All my mates have a good laugh at my expense. What a great way to spend a weekend.

Yeah , thank you for your helpful comments Terry, but when in 3 foot deep water the ends of the fan dip in the water and like a paddle wheel dump buckets of water over the distributor. When this happens it's a bit beyond WD40, try emptying a bucket of water over your dizzy.
