I owned all the vinyl from these guys. Nobody else liked it much except the lady in the record shop who played it to me
Haha....the people behind the till LOVE everything, thats how they sell records,i should know...i used to do it "wait till you hear this just came in on import, one sided, clear gold vinyl " then play a sampled foundry clanging noise for 21mins
@@Gianfranco_69 True of most cases. I would never have heard any Italian Prog Rock if it was not for her. We were very close and nearly married
Just listened to Roots and Out of The Long Dark by Nucleus. Half way through Labyrinth and can already tell ALL THREE of these albums will be studied in depth! So many layers of genius! Amazing compositions!!! Standing-O
This music is from era as a teenager and I listened to a lot of psychedelic jazz but never heard of this group. This is a fabulous, fantastic discovery. The musicianship is outstanding.
Yes, it is fab music. Do listen to all beginning with Elastic Rock. It is, of course, jazz rock of the highest order. Enjoy!
PACIFIC EARDRUM was about in my town in UK
Weather Report .
Kenny Wheeler was a heavyweight. He was a mainstay on the ECM label, was part of Anthony Braxton's quartet, was in a group called Azimuth along with Norma Winstone and John Taylor, and that just scratches the surface.
Just got tuned in these folks excellent grooves for sure Pete knows

They hav outdone themselves with this one. This LP is A MASTER PIECE! Sort of "If you cant dig it then we cant be friends" music...
Yeh....that doesnt always work tho... i have a few "friends" that like coldplay which is usual my Acid Test... if you dont like ParliamentFunkadelic i cannot be your friend

This takes me to a different place. Like a 2 dimensional sci-fi book cover world from the 70s.
This is space pirate music.
Jack Kirby music!!
🙉 After this i need Alperts "Rise" LP
Great record.
JAMAIS ENTENDU PARLER !!! ??? IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY IMPORTANT BAND AND ESPECIALLY IAN CARR NUCLEUS
What a great cover....
Intéressante découverte, merci !
folks, Bull Dance contains a four and a quarter minute cowbell (i believe) part from 3:22-7:39. This was a few years prior to Don't Fear the Reaper, since made unforgettable as the "more cowbell" exemplar. Yet another reason Nucleus was trailblazin.
Saw Nucleus in Leeds sometime round 1990, at the Trades Union Club in Chapeltown. Nice gig. Good venue for jazz.
Great album. Norma Winstone is super, but it’s all good.
Tony Coe ... Superb ...
very good band................................
really great album! thanks
So good 😎
Grooving sabroso! Elegante!
beautiful
Brilliant!
labyrinth is one of sixty most beatiful, interesting, profound, original, harmonically complex, underappreciated and comfortable albums we succeeded to find in three years of extensive youtube search in which we listened to about three thousand albums. we organized those jewels in three playlists with twenty albums on each and here's the link to the first one if you're interested: ruclips.net/p/PLnOZ01-aml2zetoGU5UvR5UpyrD-ZOJXb
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

MAAAAHMMA MIA !!!
Yeah this is a great album. I have it at home still in plastic
There comes a reminder of a word that no longer pertains to the contemporary musical language: experimental!
Three of the best English progressive keyboard players not in Pink Floyd Yes, Soft Machine, or Genesis: Dave Steward, Dave Sinclair, and Dave McCrae. Mr. McCrae should join the reformed Soft Machine! Is he available?
Dave Macrae returned to New Zealand with his wife Joy Yates. They have a daughter, Jade Macrae who is is a well known singer (blues and soul) there.
Better still, Mike Ratledge!
