- Just a quick unboxing video of a few new puzzles from ZiiCube.com. Highlighting the brand new Crazy Pyraminx Crystal (megaminx) puzzle from mf8. I've been super excited to get my hands on this puzzle for quite some time now. hope you enjoy my first impressions of the puzzle.

It looks as if you have the mefferts pyraminx crystal. A v2 at that, they turn slightly better then the v1, I'm not sure what they changed between versions but this is what I remember.
So I've since recieved it and taken it apart (not as easy as one would think which is good because you dont want it exploding on you) it does have the option to make 1 and 0 faces. But mechanically it's a mixture of gigaminx and crazy megaminx. I'm bummed out by this because it took so long to come out for collectors.

The crazy one has me stumped for now, but I will definitely add a tutorial for the regular Crystal Pyraminx puzzle to my list of things to do. It's a great puzzle. There's a lot of different ways to approach the solve, so it'll be a fun tutorial/walkthrough for me to make.

I am writing to you with the hope that you will help me solve the latest product MF8 Crazy Crystal Megaminx. I started laying it out like a Crystal Pyraminx cube and got to the point where I didn't know what to do with the inner petals. I found a tutorial on RUclips by RUclipsr "zergosaur", unfortunately I don't understand it. The only thing I got out of it for myself was a tricycle that replaced the edge petals. I have absolutely no idea how to approach the petals at the corners. Best regards, I hope you will find some time to answer. I'm waiting for new tutorials on your channel.
@@sorcererMag I have plans to make a tutorial for this puzzle in the near future. For now I'll leave you with a few tips. The inside corners solve like the edges of a megaminx, they're connected across from each other, so they function as megaminx edges, but you can see the sides of them, not the up and down like normal. The outside corners can be placed with normal corner piece series algs for permutation and orientation U R U' L' U R' U' L and R' D' R D(6 times) try those on a 3x3 if you're unsure what they do. The edges function like normal crystal pyraminx edges, you just need to pair them up with their correct outside edge, then swap them out and undo the F turn that was used to swap in the correct outside edge. For example, R' L R L' (down down up up) will three cycle 3 complete edges on the U face. Then an F turn will move a new outside edge to the edge piece on up front. From there you can undo the three cycle and undo the F turn. After all of the edges are rebuilt, a bunch of 3-cycles can be used to properly place all of the complete edge sections.

@@puzzlemax13Also, the Pyraminx Crystal you have is most likely a QJ Crystal Pyraminx as MF8 had a different Florian design.
