However, if the circle structure emerges out of the Sengso fused versions, as is their circle 2x2 and 4x4, then the circle Kionminx may have been a fused version of the megaminx where one megaminx engulfs the other one giving the circle structure. This circle version doesn't emerge from two fused puzzles, but rather a circle megaminx inside a crystal pyraminx shell. Good observation!

My brain broke it down in a completely different way so it was interesting to see a more, "from the inside out" explanation of how this puzzle works. I'm hoping to get a basic tutorial/explained solve of this puzzle up on my channel within the next week or so. I imagine that you'll be doing the same. I'm very curious to see how your solve approach differs from mine.

I am often asked by surgeons, nurses and my anaesthetic colleagues why I don’t do sudoku and other computer based puzzles and I always say that the physical tactile aspect of any puzzle is what I crave. Having an AI since something even if I’ve given it the method is just not good enough. I bought this puzzle recently along with a whole bunch of others and Ann really looking forward to working on it
Agreed! There is a similar answer to those who ask if physicians will be replaced by AI. The answer is analogous as actual human face to face contact enhances the patient experience far beyond an AI summation of tests and diagnosis.

Ah, good question! That demonstration will be coming, but I suspect that it will be a simpler version of the circle crystal pyraminx. This is because while the edges are still there, the hidden part of the edges will be revealed making it a much easier solve from the standpoint of being able to see them under the false edge. So it will be an easier solve to visualize, but still the same strategy.

Not in the sense that artificial flavoring is artificial and flavoring. Artificial fruit is a simulation of fruit. Artificial flavoring is actually flavoring. The artificial intelligence you described is no more intelligent then a plastic apple is a fruit. If you have to tell it all of the steps to solving the puzzle, then it isn't solving the puzzle. You solve the puzzle and it recorded the solution so that it can be played back, somewhat like a recording of audio or video. Artificial intelligence that is actually intelligent doesn't need to be told the steps to solving the puzzle, to figure out for itself what steps it can take to solve the puzzle. Artificial intelligence being able to do such a thing won't stop you from doing it anymore than other human beings being able to do such a thing is stopping you from doing it.
I like your analogy of the kind of algorithmic machine learning described as being more like an artificial simulation of an object rather then an artificial but still functional version of it. However, the kind of limited AI that we are using now, the algorithmic kind of machine learning that I'm referring to, is more like the current use of ChatGPT. This is as functional as the real fruit, and will compose memos, letters, papers, operations manuals and so on that will take cues from your instructions and even in your particular style. So the more input you give it, the more it will give a practical and useful product with your specifications. Without your input, it the final product will often be inaccurate, irrelevant and not be practical for what you intend. I can muse over a memo or paper for hours writing every bit of it myself and in my own voice, or I can plug in the outline and various points I want conveyed including references, and the AI, in current use, will immediately compose something with all my intended components much faster. The more specific I am in the algorithms or instruction, the more useful and specific the end product for what I intent. This is what I'm referring to regarding puzzle solving. The same limited AI will be informed of my strategy and steps, then it will proceed to solve it, and even figure out things I didn't know would be problem, such as parity problems or false equivocation of pieces. While this is a very economical solution, it would detract from the fun and true satisfaction of the solve. I have no doubt, moving forward, AI will not only not need our input as to how to solve a puzzle, but will someday design and even create twisty puzzles of such complexity, that only another AI can solve it! I wonder what such puzzles will look like, and hope to be around long enough to actually sample one. Can anyone think of what such a puzzle would look like or twist like??
