I INVEST 25% of my income and divide it into following for most balanced return: 10% - Emergency Funds (FD) (5%) 10% - Gold Bonds (2.5% + Gold Appreciation) 30% - Index Funds (10 - 12%) 30% - Large Cap Mutual Funds (12 - 15%) 20% - High Risk Mid Cap Smallcases (20-30%)

@@abhishek7271 I have my emergency parked in a liquid debt fund. 5% in cryptocurrencies (sort of a gamble honestly although just Bitcoin and Ethereum) 15% in US equities (only Apple, Google, Amazon with equal weightage) 35% in large cap consistent compounders 25% in small cap with very high roe & roce, yoy increase in sales and profits and very low d/e ratio 20% in mid cap segment leaders I plan on doing lumpsums in corporate bonds and REITs after about 5 years. Mostly A and AA rated for better returns than AAA but also with a lot of safety. In about 10 years, if the crypto thing doesn't work out, I'll look into startups. There are forums like Tyke, Leadoff, Grip who let you invest in startups and invoice discounting assets. Just to diversify, you know.

If you consider 1 lakh investment in both cases, nifty fund makes it 4 lakh after 12 years, whereas the consistent compounders make it 16 lakh in the same amount of time.

However , wish to highlight some insights that I analysed at the back of your analysis - If we stretch the time period to 5 years , Gold seems to win the race ! In 2017 , Gold prices were ₹28k and as you mentioned , its now trading at ₹52k. Thats almost 80% return over the period of 5 years mate. And if I would have bought sovereign bonds , I would have made extra 2.5% interest annually. Since everyone , including Reserve banks across the globe , run after Gold when the chips are down , would you recommend us to buy gold now given the global economic situation ? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if already mentioned in the video but everyone should be aware that the time period considered here is part of a BULL run. While in the long run, equity would always give you good returns but if you are investing today based on this video, please note 18 months from now your position may be up OR down in case of BEAR market. Bottom line being do not expect the bull return to always continue and do not consider this period as benchmark for future returns.
Hey Ankur, I hope you read my comment because I think it is important. I just became 26 and around 1 year ago I started investing. I watched all youtube videos from other creators as well and especially became a fan of yours because of the marvelous excel sheets you share. But the point here is, from what I saying from my experience is that there is a lot of difference between investing and saving. All your videos focus on compounding and investing but on a too theoretical level. It's all numbers (pre-tax) and sheets. From what I have seen if you invest without a goal and without savings, you will always never have money when it matters. Given that I was very young, there is uncertainty about big expenses (like weddings, major health issues not covered by insurance, etc), it is very important that you have tangible money with you and forget about the invested money because that is for the future. My advice to people starting out, starting early is important but planning for big life expenses and investing/saving is more important. Please note that I am not criticizing your methods but am very annoyed by how investing content creators fixate on starting early without any real-life examples or experience. For heaven's sake, there is 1 video where the guys calculates how becoming an electrician is better than becoming and lawyer in the US because being an electrician you can start investing early.

Even I believe in equity investment. Also i am investing 5% in crypto. I am not investing in PPF, FD or Gold. I am very bullish on India's growth story in next 2 to 3 decades. People now a days have calmed down. We dont see any war threat on India anymore. Our foreign policies, technology sector, financial sector everything, we are growing rapidly. Lot of infrastructure work, Education, Hospitality, Medical Facilities, literacy rate, stock market investment both domestic, retail and Foreign all are growing everything is growing. People now a days are spending more consumption is more and disposable income is more. Everything will be growing at double the pace in coming years.. Govt is getting record GST and tax collection. Less corruption, Political Stability all of these proves our stock market will touch new high. I am bullish sensex will double at every 5 years. This time 1 lakh plus by 2026. Last time doubled on 2021.

For the salaried people, If we invest in stocks only to get high returns then how can we save our tax? Now if I check the returns(stocks returns - tax payed) it is approx 10-15%. This returns we can get from PPF or ELSS mutual funds.

Still hasn't learned from his Vauld debacle. FDs are still the most safest option to park that emergency fund .Yes "Safest". And PPF is tax free and yet another safe asset and tax efficient . So while equity should be a major portion in your asset allocation, FD and PPF have to part of every salaried person.
I did exactly this, and today I stand at a profit of 44.84 per cent (Absolute Return).

I INVEST 25% of my income and divide it into following for most balanced return:
10% - Emergency Funds (FD) (5%)
10% - Gold Bonds (2.5% + Gold Appreciation)
30% - Index Funds (10 - 12%)
30% - Large Cap Mutual Funds (12 - 15%)
20% - High Risk Mid Cap Smallcases (20-30%)
If you aren't at least 45 years old, this is literally the worst way possible to invest your money.

I have my emergency parked in a liquid debt fund.
5% in cryptocurrencies (sort of a gamble honestly although just Bitcoin and Ethereum)
15% in US equities (only Apple, Google, Amazon with equal weightage)
35% in large cap consistent compounders
25% in small cap with very high roe & roce, yoy increase in sales and profits and very low d/e ratio
20% in mid cap segment leaders
I plan on doing lumpsums in corporate bonds and REITs after about 5 years. Mostly A and AA rated for better returns than AAA but also with a lot of safety.
In about 10 years, if the crypto thing doesn't work out, I'll look into startups. There are forums like Tyke, Leadoff, Grip who let you invest in startups and invoice discounting assets. Just to diversify, you know.
What's the difference btw index fund of nifty 50 and large cap company? Aren't both are same
@@prakharshukla7191 a nifty fund would have all the 50 companies with the same weightage as the index. So companies like Wipro, Hero MotoCorp, L&T will be included but they will pull your overall return down to around 12% CAGR. Instead, if you invest directly in consistent compounders of nifty, like Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Divi's Lab, you can easily get a 24% CAGR over a period of 12 years.
If you consider 1 lakh investment in both cases, nifty fund makes it 4 lakh after 12 years, whereas the consistent compounders make it 16 lakh in the same amount of time.

However , wish to highlight some insights that I analysed at the back of your analysis -
If we stretch the time period to 5 years , Gold seems to win the race !
In 2017 , Gold prices were ₹28k and as you mentioned , its now trading at ₹52k. Thats almost 80% return over the period of 5 years mate. And if I would have bought sovereign bonds , I would have made extra 2.5% interest annually.
Since everyone , including Reserve banks across the globe , run after Gold when the chips are down , would you recommend us to buy gold now given the global economic situation ?

Not sure if already mentioned in the video but everyone should be aware that the time period considered here is part of a BULL run. While in the long run, equity would always give you good returns but if you are investing today based on this video, please note 18 months from now your position may be up OR down in case of BEAR market. Bottom line being do not expect the bull return to always continue and do not consider this period as benchmark for future returns.

I hope you read my comment because I think it is important.
I just became 26 and around 1 year ago I started investing. I watched all youtube videos from other creators as well and especially became a fan of yours because of the marvelous excel sheets you share.
But the point here is, from what I saying from my experience is that there is a lot of difference between investing and saving.
All your videos focus on compounding and investing but on a too theoretical level. It's all numbers (pre-tax) and sheets.
From what I have seen if you invest without a goal and without savings, you will always never have money when it matters.
Given that I was very young, there is uncertainty about big expenses (like weddings, major health issues not covered by insurance, etc), it is very important that you have tangible money with you and forget about the invested money because that is for the future. My advice to people starting out, starting early is important but planning for big life expenses and investing/saving is more important.
Please note that I am not criticizing your methods but am very annoyed by how investing content creators fixate on starting early without any real-life examples or experience.
For heaven's sake, there is 1 video where the guys calculates how becoming an electrician is better than becoming and lawyer in the US because being an electrician you can start investing early.

Even I believe in equity investment. Also i am investing 5% in crypto. I am not investing in PPF, FD or Gold. I am very bullish on India's growth story in next 2 to 3 decades. People now a days have calmed down. We dont see any war threat on India anymore. Our foreign policies, technology sector, financial sector everything, we are growing rapidly. Lot of infrastructure work, Education, Hospitality, Medical Facilities, literacy rate, stock market investment both domestic, retail and Foreign all are growing everything is growing. People now a days are spending more consumption is more and disposable income is more. Everything will be growing at double the pace in coming years.. Govt is getting record GST and tax collection. Less corruption, Political Stability all of these proves our stock market will touch new high. I am bullish sensex will double at every 5 years. This time 1 lakh plus by 2026. Last time doubled on 2021.
The Market has been pretty bad until today it decided to surge. As the economic crisis keep rising, one needs to have different streams of income, It keeps dipping. That's what you get when you feel you can navigate the process on your own. Big thanks to Mr. Ray Dalio. I'm not bothered with how bad the Market is because my assets are insured due to his advice and I still receive my profits.

For the salaried people, If we invest in stocks only to get high returns then how can we save our tax? Now if I check the returns(stocks returns - tax payed) it is approx 10-15%. This returns we can get from PPF or ELSS mutual funds.
