Oh...my...God...you are literally driving my former car! Seriously, if this car started out life in California, it could seriously have been mine. Everything is exactly as I remember it, to the smallest detail. Thanks for the memories!!
Very nice! I have a 'brand new' 96 GT too. Of all the mods I've done so far, my favorite is replacing the ash tray with a cup holder. A used cup holder from ebay and a few minutes with a dremel tool = super useful upgrade.
Hey dude saw your why I moved to Texas video, if you want a nice Beach go to South Padre go to there between October and December. In October I is warm enough to swim and in December it stays in the 60s and 70s sometimes the 80s.
My first car was a black 96' GT my folks got it for in 08' for a little over 3k I was a little shit then and didnt know shit about cars ran it to the ground now i want another.
I love the Sn95. I've had 3 of em, all GTs. I paid anywhere between 2-3k for each of them, and they all had under 130k miles at most. Id love to pick up another one but the damn used car market has gone to hell. I hardly see them for less than 4-5k now with close to 200k miles, its insane, ive bought cobras for that price.
ya bro for real I just bought a 96 gt 94k miles for $2900. the guy posted it for $3000 and got too many messages so he took it back down and messaged me privately. I got a hell of a deal
Hope you are still enjoying the car. Back in 1996, I bought a brand new Mustang GT, same color but with no upgrades because I couldn't afford them, $17,300 out the door. 24 years later, I still enjoy driving it!
@@EdwardInTX Just checking back with you. Did you resolved the issue with the battery drainage? I had a similar problem in the past, it was the glove box light that was staying on because a broken switch. Currently, the car has a deep cycle battery connected to a trickle charger, so I don't have battery issues anymore when parked for a long time. Just recently, after 24 years, I installed a short shifter for the first time; what I difference.
I still have my 1996 Mustang GTS/248a. I'm sitting on about 190,000 miles on the clock. And unfortunately I need to change the headgaskets. Mine was originally like $19k, but I will never sell mine. Just can't do it...
Very interesting car and it is in great shape. Congrats. If the battery dies this vehicle probably has a defective body module somewhere or current to ground. You can measure this with a digital multimeter and the fuse box to find out which circuit is affected.
