Please, what do you mean by deconstructing into a short note? Like 1 or 2 lines. What if the course is normally voluminous and requires voluminous answers in exams? CUZ I HAVE A LOT TO COVER AND MY EXAM IS IN A WEEK 😢
What I mean by deconstructing is that, since you have a voluminous material, deconstructing it will help you draw out the main idea from the text, after you might have gone through the first reading of the material. Then subsequently, whenever you need to review before the day of your exam, it is what you deconstructed in to short forms that will you need to read. But when you’re close to the exam, do an overview revision with the main material and your personal note.
Now about having your exam in a week time and you have a lot to study. Here is what you can do. Make sure most of the time you have is dedicated to studying (even if you have to do it everyday).
You can deconstructed into whichever line you wish as long as it will help you understand
Jotting into small note doesn’t stop you from putting down voluminous answers in your exam, as along as you understand what you study.
Aim for understanding
Another thing you can try is that, while studying a voluminous course, having a past question by your side should help you navigate to what’s most important and double down on that.
