What to do with this. If you square it up along the edges, you have multiple bias edges.

Bias edges and seams are inevitable in pieced quilt work. However, have you considered stabilizing the fabric with starch and/or adding a line of stay stitching 1/8 inch from your cutting line before trimming? Stay stitching is common in garment construction, o it should work to minimize distortion of bias seams in patchwork piecing. Just a thought.

I never work with bias edges if there is a straight of the grain choice. Why make a project more difficult?

Interesting! Many ways to square it. I would do the sides and then the ends, using a rotary cutter. Then les fabric is necessary for the ends.
Of course, for raw beginners this is less complicated. But the rotary cutter is more efficient.

Felt. Poor choice. Issues when it is soiled and needs washing. Batting and a fabric backing would be more practical. Liked the demo producing the chevron effect. Scrappy look is cute.
