Hello Guys,
Mizoram is really different from the rest of India. Tlabung is a border city near to Bangladesh & the demographies of Tlabung is really diverse
There are 5-6 types of tribal people live in this area. Chakma, Mizo, Bodo, etc. The primary market of Tlabung hosts a Bangladeshi tribal market in which people from nearby villages comes to buy & sell their product. Their primary mode of transport is boats.

Sad to see infrastructure like roads are so under developed in north east. Daily life is such a struggle for these poor souls. Everyday 10 hour journey by small boats is no joke.

Chakma's are the largest and most educated of all other tribes of Bangladeshi hill tracts. See they have a bengali accent while speaking hindi. I have Chakma friends.
I also have many chakma friends in Cumilla, they are so kind and humble to all.

Dear Deepanshu ji, The name of the town is Tlabung not Tlabong, (also known as DEMAGIRI), the original name, named by the Chakmas. It was a part of the erstwhile Chakma Kingdom comprising a part of Chittagong Hill Tract of Bangladesh and a part of western belt part of Mizoram, where now mostly the Chakmas still lives. The place has been in existence since the British Raj of Pre-Independence India. It is one of the oldest town in Mizoram. This town is one of the route of the British to set their foot in Lushai Hill, present day Mizoram through Chittagong Hill Tract.

As a Bangladeshi I think Indian north east states should do more business with Bangladesh, Myanmar and China to improve their economy . North east India really got a suitable place to do international business, just need proper government support and security.

I'm from BD & I have visited other side of Mizoram in BD. In those remote hilly area between Bangladesh, India there are no borders in their mind... life is survival, can be very tough, also with uncountable chunk happiness rather than city people like us.

From Nunsury you can go to Tipperaghat, which is one of the oldest chakma dominated village and then go to Borapansury, a very popular village of the Chakmas. And finally, Welcome to mizoram

Yaap bro. By the way, it's actually Chakma, not chakama.
During the Muslim & British era, there was free movement of the local people in today's India-Bangladesh-Barma(Mayanmar) territory. So that's why ethnic groups are found in these areas. That's why there are Bangladeshi chakma and Indian chakma whose origin is Barma. But now they are our citizens. 😉
And that's why there are Burmese Rohingas but Barma denies to accept them as there citizen, because of their racist mentality based on religion.
