When we need bacon, I buy a boned shoulder roast. If I can find one, a picnic ham and bone it myself. Cut it, rub in cure, and it goes in the fridge for 3 days, turning once or twice a day. When it's done, it gets soaked for a few hours in cold water to remove much of the salt. Then, when weather is dry, like now (Arizona) I rub liquid smoke over it, put it in plastic food bags in the fridge and turn once a day for 3 days. That's called cottage bacon.
I have my bacon sliced VERY thin, then deep fry it in a pot of bacon grease, then drizzle it with more bacon grease. It stays crunchy, even if you keep it in the fridge, and it's way better than popcorn with butter. Crispy little nuggets of yum.

Keep up the good work been following you for a long time saved my life
I get sugar free bacon and it’s amazingly delicious. 😛 Then I use the fat to cook eggs and hamburgers in. 😋
My grandma & Mom had a little crock pot on the stove for bacon grease. They spooned that goodness into many dishes. Yum.
I did watch your bacon chip video, looks good, I don't have a grease jar though
I've gotten to a point where I don't eat for several days . I'm not hungry, tired, or sick. I actually feel great.
Are you doing the carnivore diet?

Everything about Bacon is delicious!
A biochemist told us to refrigerate the bacon grease canister, because bacteria will grow in the can.
I am having bacon tomorrow. Eggs are so delicious fried in bacon grease. A big side of greens goes well with them🥓🥓
Few hot pepper flakes is how my Dad would make for he & I
Sister and Mom wimps😂😂😂❤
I cook bacon 8 lbs at a time at my house. And I do refrigerate my bacon grease. It's easier to deal with from a keeping-clean perspective. No drips.
I’ve been waiting all my life for this news!
I am so glad you speak the god honest truth.
Been saving bacon grease since I can remember. My Mom and Grandmother all saved it and so do I. I'm now 70 and all my relatives grew up on a farm eating about 2# bacon, couple # potatoes, couple dozen eggs and fresh made bread and donuts. 6 boys and 2 girls. All passed now but 1 aunt. Most lived to 80+. My Mom was 100 years,72 days. 😁
Thanks Dr. Berry! Cooking bacon right now as part of my carnivore breakfast! Am blessed to have a local, 5th generation farm that has sugar free bacon and sugar free Canadian bacon. 🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸
I keep the bacon grease in the fridge. Otherwise fruit flies will be all over it. Those will eat literally anything. Used up tea leaves and carrot peel etc.
I’ve been storing bacon Grease for years! Not too shabby
How lomg does is last?
I made beef patties wrapped in bacon in the oven. I also saved the grease and made eggs in it later. Delicious.
Starting my carnivore journey tonight. Just fried my first pound of sugar-free bacon and now waiting for the grease to cool a little so I can store it. Looking forward to any type of relief from debilitating fibromyalgia and some weight loss, at least 25-30 lbs.
I could never cook eggs like grandma...until i cooked eggs like grandma...using bacon grease. Delicious and comforting
I can't save my bacon grease. I cook it with my hash browns
I was fasting when you uploaded this video. First meal after i broke my fast was of course little bit bacon and eggs. Fasting weekends for health issues and other wise keto.
Bacon grease mayo, baby!!!
I keep my bacon grease in a glass canning jar. I love using it for cooking eggs and other food.
You really can’t put a price on good health, pricey, yes but so worth it nutritionally.
That's what my wife and I do. Thanks Dr. Berry. But we do strain it through a fine metal strainer and refridgerate it in a glass jar.
I have my bacon sliced VERY thin, then deep fry it in a pot of bacon grease, then drizzle it with more bacon grease. It stays crunchy, even if you keep it in the fridge, and it's way better than popcorn with butter.
Crispy little nuggets of yum.
A couple of years ago I discovered you can buy a jar of pure bacon grease at a regular grocery store and it's nice and white.
I was always told how bad bacon was for my health and no matter what I've always wanted swim in it lol. But now I'm enjoying every slice of it and I'm watching my weight go down! 😊
