I am hoping you have managed to overcome your van problems ... and why did you have to leave the Harvest Host site? Such a shame as it really looked lovely. But ... Nicole's big smile will help you all stay positive 😃🥰
@@ladylarge1895 Generally on Harvest Host, the maximum stay is 2-3 days. After explaining our situation, they were okay with our extended stay, but then messaged us after about a week and bluntly told us it’s time to move on 🤷♂️
We still don’t fully understand why, but have to respect that, at the end of the day, we are staying on someone else’s property.
Nicole and I have had much better luck staying at ‘stealth locations’ and have been uprooted more times with Harvest Host (an app designed specifically for people trying to find somewhere to sleep). We much prefer staying at churches!
OK so you don’t need brake pads but you’ve got loose Lugnuts it sounds like again, I don’t get how that’s happening I guess I hope you replace all your Lugnuts it might not be a bad choice especially at least for the wheel you’re going to replace and maybe invest in a torque wrench so you actually can check them to the proper torque spec all the time, stay safe
@@shockingguy My theory is that the wheels loosened up because I painted them with rustoleum before we hit the road. The extra layer of paint can cause the nuts to lose their torque value. And I put it on there pretty thick 😅
😢 when there's something wrong with vehicles, they are a real pain in the bum. I hope you don't have anymore problems 😢

Oh wow!!! You guys are sure having a time of it. Welcome to trying source goods in Canada. Hope you are overcoming the rim issue. Maybe you could try Loctite (the non permanent one) potentially?
@@steveandnaz We had no idea what a pain in the butt it is to order things online when you are in Canada!
Also, the Harvest host kicked us out a couple of days ago, it was a little abrupt and surprising… So we ended up stealth camping by the river in Town yesterday and now we’re at a camp ground until Tuesday when the new wheels get here.
I may just try Loctite to give us piece of mind!
@@SkylarkTheShuttlebus Glad you are progressing and found a place. Don't use the permanent loctite... there are two different types.

@@SkylarkTheShuttlebus I've been living in Canada for over 6 decades and I've never had trouble ordering anything online. How was it a 'pain in the butt' for you?
Used Sprinter vans are notoriously unreliable and the new ones are ridiculously overpriced. Hopefully you can get it fixed enough to salvage your trip. On the bright side, being stranded in Canada isn't a terrible thing - we don't have weekly mass shootings or Donald Trump to worry about.
@@suddenlysolo2170 We live full time in a vehicle and have taken it to a foreign country in an incredibly remote area. This makes it a huge pain in the butt to get parts.
Any vehicle with over 100,000 miles on it is going to have its fair share of issues.
Your wheels are coming loose because that stupid wrench you’re using to tighten then isn’t able to apply enough torque to the nuts. Those wheel nuts are probably supposed to be 150kg but you might be getting to 75-100 with your current wrench setup
