Thanx for sharing Bill. It's always interesting to see what's in another person's bag.

You are the Man! I have been surfcasting for 45 years. I fish from Montauk to Breezy Point. I noticed that you tie direct 50lb leaders. Iv been using angler clips, barrel swivel on main line.. No snap swivels! Direct tie dose not impede the lure action? You 🪨 my friend. Hope to meet you out there! Stay Safe out there!

I use 30-80 leader. For all plugs that have action I put on a split ring.

Thanks! I'm getting ready for the fun to begin! One more question though I want a lamiglas for Montauk and the open beaches. What blank is the best for casting 2000×🥵

Have a very similar bag. I rely more on plastics than bucktales and will usually have a mag darter or 2 as well. No hellcats though. Love the larger bombers and large sp minnows. Usually my gear Is all prepped and done by February, but haven't touched it yet...slacking. Thanks for all the re ent posts Bill. Fishing is alot of people's sanity right now and you are actually providing a great public service....the more Bill Wetzel the better

You don’t like the idea of replacing the tail treble with a single teaser hook?

I do on certain plugs.. I think we cover this pretty extensively in the SRB. If your a member try doing a search.

Bill, where did you get the smaller tubes in the bag? I want to replace the big tubes in my gear-up bag with smaller ones.

I told Jamie from Flatlander what I wanted and that is what he made me.. Dont know where to get the tubes. If you are in the Surf Rats Ball ask there. Someone should know.
