What does each ribbon cable coming from the screen do? I just need to be able to start the smart switch transfer to a new phone, so I'm hoping I could just hook the old phone to the new long ribbon cable to get video and touch back.
The manufacturer quoted me AU$590 for the repair whereas the actual phone itself was AU$347 since the damage was not covered under warranty. He suggested me a third party repairer. Do you have any idea where I can find one?
I have installed a new subboard because of problems with charging, now charging is good, but callers say they hear themselfes (echo). What is the problem?
make sure its the same model sub board since different region model sub boards might cause some issues. Also sometimes aftermarket ones may not be the best quality. Check cables as well to ensure proper connections.
I'm having a problem getting my volume button to work. It's like it doesn't have any spring to it. The power button is fine. If I was supposed to transfer it over from the old one, I have dropped the ball :)
Do you own a repair shop? I have a 2020 Motorola MOTO G Power unlocked smartphone that will be two (2) years old in November 14, 2022. My battery is bulging up. I can't do what you're doing in this video so I'm considering buying another phone but it probably won't be a Motorola. Are Samsung phones good to consider?
@Josh vlogs A23 is absolutely junk. Worst camera from samsung in a decade. Better to get samsung M12 or A12 Exynos edition. Also F23 & M23 is a better device compared to A23. I was surprised how samsung faked the image department by shuvving OIS in a waste sensor.
Is it possible to completely remove the 5G antenna in the Samsung S23 or any other top level phone, or at least disable it assuming that it's separate from the 4g antenna (yes I am aware that one can simply turn it off in the connections settings). Thank you for your excellent work and hopefully, answering my question, Brian
You should disassembly some iphones and give them repair scores; I myself consider one main reason why I will not buy iphone due it is difficult and complicated to repair.
Hi, its actually the opposite. iPhones take way longer to repair and are more complex with many different types and sizes of screws etc. Android's are more streamlined for the most part and take much less time to do repairs on. I have done some iPhone videos, most recently the iPhone se 2022 3rd gen. Usually when it comes to iPhones, a lot of people do teardown videos on them so unless I get it really early, its not worth spending the money on it when many people don't view the video.
@@PBKreviews I was trying to say my reasoning for personal iphone resistance is due to their difficulty/complicacy to repair. I have same opinion towards android repairability, so many teardown videos is been wathced and a few batteries been replaced.
It's not as smooth as he makes it out to be. I'm using the tools he recommended in the description. The panels are barely noticeable, seamless, and that pick wedge doesn't fit. I had to use tiny flat head screw driver with the first panel and the second panel i flat out couldn't get to budge. On the video recordings half, rushed. I'm normally the type who complains about the extra steps or time for instructional videos but his is just rushed.
This is one of the more simple phones to take apart. If you are having trouble getting a pry tool in between, or having trouble prying it off, apply more heat from a hair dryer or heat gun as mentioned in the video as well as use a suction cup tool (which I should mention more often in videos) to help you gain leverage. I try not to go too into detail since most people who take it apart know somewhat how to do it and isn't recommended for people who haven't done it before since they can do more harm then good. Also for the second part, its easiest to try and get your pry tool in where the sim reader area is since the housing is weakest there, and allows for a tool to get in between easier. Hope this helps.
Nah, this guy was clear, concise, and to the point. I only had to watch half the video to do a sub board repair for the first time. Solid work man, it was very helpful. I finished watching the video even tho I didn't need to and liked it to help with the algorithm. Thanks again. ❤
Thank you, my son and I were able to change the charge port successfully. We ended up using a suction cup with the heat gun to get the back cover off.
i wish u were my dad
This was a huge help! Thanks!
Where can I buy the battery for a23?
What do the coax do on the side? The 2 connecting the sub board to main board.

Yes, 5g just have a different chipset but everything's the same.
