I don't always agree with Bill, but I always love his brutal honesty. I'm a woman and I have never understood other women's obsession with diamonds. My mother's wedding ring was a simple gold ring. I think that if you need an expensive symbol to make your marriage feel valuable then you have a shitty marriage and if you need said symbol to feel beautiful then you need to work on your insecurities. It's crucial that we stop being so materialistic if we want to have healthy relationships with other living beings.
BellaMusical We should make unique gestures to make our unions seem special and rare. When I proposed to my wife, instead of buying a diamond, I had the siding on our house repaired after it was damaged in a hail storm. She appeared happy at the time. We are divorced now though.
Monique just made my stomach hurt. Just because everything we buy comes from someone else's suffering you think that means its ok to continue to contribute to suffering. "Will you buy your wife a copper ring?" Um how about no ring.
@@jackjackthompson5771 she basically said it's too bad kids are dying, I'm still buying diamonds even though they are useless and are not rare or special
Only the future Oscar winner shows off her real diamonds to the audience in the series' 9th and final season on ABC. Well, anyway, that's my boldest opinion of all times.

Jason Wyman That sounds like a nice gesture. :)
Your words were awesome!

I think she meant that the real world is very messy, and unfair, and things are fucked up all around.

Monique's brilliant words on "Politically Incorrect" were "I Care." That's all.

Both arms?
I thought the show got immediately cancelled after the first episode after 9/11
The point of the diamond story is that is PROVES what absolute idiots humans can be.
At least the right humans are being slaughtered.
Wheres the one with the Queens of Comedy
Would women accept a man-made diamond? It's totally 100% real diamond & can be cut beautifully but made in a lab. Your thoughts?
I support lab made diamonds 100%

I’m just realizing now I’ve always hated Monique.
You're not the only one
I've always loved Monique. She's funny, sweet, charming and smart. She's now
an Oscar winner.
MoNique came across very ignorant in this episode.
She’s not ignorant. She just doesn’t care.
