Lake Oswego is an upscale suburb in the Portland metro area. if you are a nature lover, the Portland metro area has a lot to offer in terms of that. tons and tons and tons of trees everywhere you may go.additionally, there are tons and tons of hills where homes are built which make the Portland metro area look so cool. lots of cloudy skies and wet weather starting around mid October.
When I moved here in 2021 my realtor would not give me neighborhood recommendations nor info like “general crime awaress” about an area when I saw neighborhoods that were appealing. It worked out in the end but this is the kind of info that would have been beneficial.
Sorry that your experience wasn’t as great as you wanted it to be 😞 after helping 500+ families relocate, we have the process nailed. We work for the outside in: Identify city, then community, then neighborhood, the street, and then home.
Yes, we also sell homes too! We’ve done a lot of business in Mt Tabor. You can contact us at (503)837-3454, call or text at time and we’d be happy to chat.

I've lived in Vancouver since 1980. Funny that he doesn't mention the homeless population. They aren't all confined to downtown. Some homeowners wake up to a tent set up on the sidewalk in front of their house, even in a nice area like Laurelhurst. Also traffic is terrible. Especially coming from Vancouver. I'm 13 miles from where I used to work in North Portland. Some days I made it to work in 20 minutes, usually it was 30+. Coming home in the afternoon took 30-45 minutes.
Currently in August 2023 you are now able legally able to pump your own gas the law has changed: stations are suppose to be 1/2 & 1/2 part do it yourself part fuel pumped for you. Far as taxes glad your bringing this up. No one told me this 4 years ago when I moved up here. Portland’s Multnomah County is the worst tax wise: the taxable income over $125,000 for individuals or $200,000 for joint filers at 1.5% percent extra. And on the way taxable income over $250,000 for individuals or $400,000 for joint filers. The rate will increase by 0.8% in 2026. So in Multnomah County if you make more than 125k you have to pay a babysitting child care tax for those have children they can not afford, you are stuck paying a homeless person tax so breakfast , lunch & dinner plus free drugs to all the homeless poring into Portland plus the Max light rail homeless free ride train tax, art tax & don’t forget police/fireman too. The biggest problem here is 501 (C) (3) special interest groups enabling the growth & open drug use & crime local Gov & contractors all get benefits from this so in short same political parties stay in power & nonprofits making a financial killing at the cost of taxpayers & the quality of life. 2nd wrong on west side is the Spandex Mafia these jerks that ride on ten speeds take up the whole road & cause traffic accidents almost daily but other than that way better than California or other states they are way worse in my opinion.
I left 3 months ago after 23 years living in Washington county. i have many negative things to say but won’t go on a rant. Keeping it very basic the state taxes were ( in my case anyway) higher than my federal taxes. Good luck
I am looking to return to the Portland Oregon Metro Area, but I NEED TO FIND SUBSIDIZED APARTMENTS! Do you know of any near to the light-rail STOPS? Any information would be appreciated ! Thank you!
Unfortunately, they don’t put Rentals on the MLS in Portland so we have no way to legally represent our clients with regards to rentals. However, we work with a lot of people that rent before buying so if you’d like to chat about areas that work before buying down the road, feel free to set up a zoom call with the team. There’s a ton of people that start conversations years in advance. Let us know if you’d like to chat!
I like to know can you make live in wage making $30,000 to $49,000 a year and get a cheap condo under $200,000. Like to know anyone can tell me how is job market in retail or sale is for work?
@@LivinginPortlandOregon Yea but I'm assuming state and county jobs are located downtown.....would suck going into work being around that everyday....any other neighborhoods that are similar to Alberta ?
I am so glad that they pump your glass gas in Oregon. These people seem to have everything right why would you want to get out of your car and get dirty and touch your dirty gas pump and good filthy when all you have to do is drive up and let someone else have a job.
I wouldn’t recommend living in Portland. The dark, rainy season is long and depressing. Graffiti is everywhere, as well as abandoned buildings. The roads are in terrible condition, and the folks there aren’t particularly open or friendly. There are other negatives, but I’ll leave it at that.
Taxes are good taxes mean that the people in the society care about other people besides just themselves I’m down here in Florida with the people are completely selfish and all they care about is their money and they want to hold onto it and not pay any taxes they don’t want to contribute to their community at all. Taxes are good and anyone who doesn’t want to pay taxes is selfish.

What neighborhood did you end up in ?
@@obijuankenobi420 Mt Tabor, which I like but it was the only house in my search areas that I liked. Would have been nice to see more

The supposed video you link at the end doesn't show up. Can you paste it here?
Um, excuse me, where are you from and why were you forced to leave?
High rated schools are not necessarily better. Often it means that there are a lot of entitled and privileged families that ruin it for the rest.
Do you deal in property purchases only, or rentals too? We are moving to the area soon and will rent for a year or two before purchasing.

please no bed music next time. too generic and not to anyone's taste
Just got back. Downtown had way too many dopefiends. Great food and cool bars tho. Alberta Arts district was a really cool neighborhood.
Yup! Good thing there isn’t really any living downtown.

You sure did paint a rosy picture of Portland
It is the ROSE City after all!
Now you can pump your own gas. Laws change.
Don't move to Oregon
