The passion with which Biswa explains anything gets me interested in that stuff, from his hobby of gardening, to his appreciation of Kanan, and finally to his favourite book of all times. It has been two days now that I have been reading about all the harvest festivals. Biswa is the best!
what a great conversation; can’t believe i stumbled upon this now. one of the easiest ways to understand the type of food to expect from Odisha, is to look for a Bengali cook if/when you’re living away from Bengal. Most of the cooks that turn up are Odiya, and most of them, are phenomenal and how. the simplest of dal-sabzi and the stupidest of egg curries turn out dreamy.they’re mostly at par with the east indian tastebuds, and sometimes above & beyond. no kidding. once again, thank you for this conversation. observing Biswa and listening to his perspectives is fascinating. Mast Aadmi. 👌🏽
I know I am late in watching this session but an interesting & nostalgic one. Being a 80s born in Assam, I can relate to so many things - book fairs, food, cricket. Also I have the same funda as Biswa - whenever you visit a new place, spend money mostly on food instead of regretting it later. I am also a huge fan of Masterchef Australia as well and love it exactly for the same reasons as mentioned by Biswa.
Amazing amazing! This was a completely new Biswa for me. I have always seen him being crisp intellectual (extremely funny yet a bit stiff). This was completely emotional intellectual side. His inner child spoke.😅 KV, you have both an amazing connection with all these people and also a great skill to make them visit their inner child. Especially Men! Appreciate this talk show. Lucky to have stumbled upon this.
Man i also love all obscure Rahman 90s song . Hard relate to everything Varun n Biswa are talking. There is this song called Sun re sakhi in Hindi and Yennavale in Tamil this song is so awesome so awesome u must listen to it Varun.
In the Rahman bit, I had to pause the podcast, listen to Aaromale (Great suggestion btw) and Na saamne tu, and be back for the rest of it. Great podcasts, my favourite thing to do while doing chores ❤❤
SUCH AN INTERESTING EPISODE 🙌🏼🙌🏼!! Love listening to every bit of the conversation….I don’t know how you both managed to make mundane topics into such a fun chat👏🏼
You being KV would obviously must be aware of the fact that Guy Pratt (the touring bassist for Pink Floyd 1990s era, also Son-in-law of Richard wright) has given the opening bass line for the track 'Dil se re'.
I had no idea biswa was such a foodie and that he watched masterchef and is such a poori bhaji fanatic. I have been following his work for yearsss and am a huge fan but I have never related so much to him 😭❤️
Bahot bahot respect for both of you. You guys are the people from my list "Who am I gonna become like". Keep doing whatever you do. Sir wo restaurant ka naam batayiega zara. Kal jaunga😂
Listening to both of them be like bhai mere ko bhi aisi dosti chahiye, man you can talk discuss about your passion, read, try, research. Man thank you both of you guys.
Biswa itna kuch bol gaya esa lag raha he ki muje homework deke gaya ki ye bhi dekh, ye bhi sun, ye bhi phar. List banayega me sabka or sab karega. Kab karta he tu itna sab ?

Nostalgic discussion…
Idk why I feel that this is a reupload. As in, I remember watching it much before the "3 months ago" upload date it is showing.
It has become my ritual to relisten this episode every few months
What an insightful podcast 👌🙌
