I'd say that out of all the Mega Man games, the Zero series has the most perfect story out there. Especially with moments like in the ending of Zero 4.
When i saw zeros broken helmet i started to cry knowing that zero had to kill a copy of his friend 2 times fought and destroyed his own body and saved the world just for him to die in an explosion
The falling down OST hit real hard, i knew that after Ciel begged Zero to come back, he wasn't getting out of Ragnarok, yet, he fought until the very end
Shit still hurts to this day. Ngl this part wasnt what broke me, its ciels last few lines of "Ill make the world a better place, just come back, I believe in you" (Zero asked her to believe in him but she never responded to it until that moment) followed by us seeing his broken helmet. Then when u realize the song at the end is her getting her feelings out and saying goodbye? Oof🤧
It's curious how Model Z, that supposedly contains Zero's consciousness, lacks a helmet and only has a visor. The remains of Zero show his helmet destroyed, cracked and in half. To me it seems like Ciel did her best to repair as much of the remains of the Guardians and X before putting the pieces together in a Biometal, but just couldn't bear with working actively on the remains of Zero, that she eventually had to find to make the Biometal, so with grief weighing on her, she put together as much as she could, never reconstructing the helmet, and so Model Z ended up with a visor, that could be easily be added or modified from the fragments of the helmet itself. Curious how when Model X and Model Z Double Megamerge, X is actually trying to reconstruct Zero's original armor from the X series rather than the copy body he had in the Zero series. Poor Ciel didn't live long enough to see at least a glimpse of her work in action, and it's heavily hinted she was actually killed... Zero's dead on top of the death of Ciel in the future make it tragic. But it restored peace for a century, long enough for people to finally live together with reploids, all of them heroes.
Interestingly, Prometheus mentions Ciel in ZX. He says to Vent, 'You've combined the Biometal fragments to draw out more power. Excellent feature. That woman knew what she was doing when she created that Biometal...', and then Prairie (Alouette) enters the room to say '"That woman!?" You're talking about Sis!', to which Prometheus responds, 'Oh, you know her? Well, then, you must not be of this time either... Haha... What an interesting little connection you two have!' Before trying to escape. Maybe the cancelled ZX:C would’ve expanded upon Prometheus and Pandora even more. We’ll probably never know, sadly.
@@paradox2210Ciel was a genetically modified human, but she was still human. At the time Mega Man Zero was set, it did not yet have the ability for a human to become a reploid or have mechanical parts like in the ZX saga, my speculation is that ciel died of old age, or was murdered somewhere in the story years after mega man zero 4
The timeline is kind of iffy. I mean, Serpent was somehow able to steal the credit for solving the energy crisis even though the Ciel System was ready to go in Zero 3. This would mean that Albert discovered Model W, created the Model W fragments, and implanted his DNA into Serpent, and then Ciel discovered one of Albert's Model W fragments and Serpent stole it in an incredibly brief window after the end of the Zero series, which would make Serpent very old. Keep in mind that Serpent had been modified by Albert so he would be mortal, so he's somehow managed to live to like 150+ without aging a day. Serpent is supposed to be ignorant of Albert, so it's not like the latter was extending his lifespan, and it's not like he found another way because Pandora and Prometheus would've jumped at that chance to lengthen Albert's leash on them. Like I said, very weird timeline.

Coming back to this ending fresh off of a completed watch of The Headmasters, there are many plot point similarities to the Takara side of Transformers' Japanese continuity that Inti Creates may have taken influence from for use in the Zero series, especially with the way that Zero IV's ending was handled: The whole concept of Zero having to take over leadership in how the Elf Wars would be guided to meet its definitive end definitely resembles the chaos that both ended the Cybertron Wars and led to Rodimus Prime, Cerebros (Fortress) and Scorponok (Zarak) taking power during the Master Wars; Vile/Weil in many ways can definitely be considered Inti Creates' equivalent to Zarak in the nature that he wants a world that is once again fully run by Humans at the cost of possessing or outright eradicating Reploids and considering Zarak's "Killing for the Sake of Killing" mindset in how he guides the Destron (Decepticon) faction against the Cybertronians (Autobots) it ultimately makes it clear to the viewer and player base of both works that these are antagonists who cannot be reasoned with and thus must meet their final destruction somehow, which eventually leads to the end result being in both of their endings that Ciel and the Witwicky family must now lead the front in rebuilding the world into their own vision and protect the good that exists upon it; The Headmasters would also possibly influence elements of X 08's storytelling, as Cybertron's destruction in Episode Ten and Galvatron's subsequent imprisonment in Ice a good few episodes later truly does also remind me of that bridge where we meet the end of the Maverick Wars with the final end of Sigma while the beginning of the Elf Wars with Lumine and beyond, Original X's end in Zero II and Craft's betrayal of Weil in IV feels very similar to Optimus Prime sacrificing himself to save Vector Sigma in Episode 03 and also how Sixshot realizes the decimation of Ultra Magnus (in the fittingly named "The Death of Ultra Magnus", though he fortunately gets revived in a future Gen 0I Manga) and then subsequently defects from the Decepticons in "The Final Showdown on Earth: Part II", there are so many mirrors in the major elements of Takara and IC's writing that one truly has to wonder how much these works are bridged and we could probably be at this forever because of how many elements seem to link almost seamlessly. As for Zero's initially apparent "end" in Zero IV's epilogue, it is fortunate that Capcom didn't blatantly come out and officially say that he is definitively gone, it probably helps too that like Dragon Ball GT the Zero series was not developed completely by the franchise creator (in this case, I am under the impression that Keiji Inafune's involvement was much more miniscule in comparison to what he delivered with Classic and X; heck, even ZX falls into Super God Masterforce levels of similarities, and I am certain that was intentional by design on the part of IC so that not too many cast and concept changes had to be made) and thus it falls into a position where there are conflicting visions that make it clear to us that the Inti Creates continuity does not exactly follow what Capcom and/or Inafune have in mind for the franchise's future; in my view, I do believe that Zero very much managed to survive the destruction of Ragnarok with his own Auto Repair system X 06~style (even if he doesn't have the same system as to what his original body had) and also left a copy of his memories in the Desert via his helmet for Ciel and company to find that would later on become Biometal Model Z, this would make sense in context of knowing his internal hardware and also potentially why Model X could even be made (presumably in a similar manner), the elements of Super God Masterforce with the way that Giroette becomes interlinked with Model Z truly brings it home for me and reminiscing on all of this makes me wonder how an Interquel between the Zero and ZX series would function to keep Zero's life intact and present to us an important aftermath that I feel must be told somehow (heck, maybe even a follow~up to ZX Advent that probably utilizes elements of Transformers: Victory to continue the trend of mirroring plot aspects might prove effective too, featuring Upper Versions of many characters from previous entries while delivering a new play formula of its own, all of that would help deliver proper closure and set the stage for a new future for Capcom's handling of the franchise outright).

Will never not hurt😢
Zero shall never be forgotten...
idk if someone could explain, but what are the mini reploids or objects with an ego that gives powers on megaman ZX?
like, are those copies or maybe they're parts of the originals?
kinda weird to me, since I remember zero's helmet at the end of the game
I think you're talking about the biometals, and they contain the data or something of X, Zero, the four guardians, and Weil. For example, X is Mode X, and Weil is Model W.
They're enhacements made out of parts and data gathered from their previous owners like X, Zero, Weil, and even Omega himself (ambiguous)
oh no.... NO... WHY YT.....
