Your first look at the most unforgettable stories of 2025 begins here!
I have a few things to say about this:
1. The while "Timeless" one-shots that started to happen in 2022, I am a huge fan of, however I liked it better with Kang in it, because with Kang and time travel it makes sense, the other issues with Luke Cage Power Man in the 2023 or 2024 "Timeless" one-shot, I didn't like that because of the Luke Cage, and let me clarify that I do love Power Man, future Luke Cage, he is an awesome and powerful character who has a bunch of cool powers, like the chains and Dragon punch that he did against Konshu or whatever, but I didn't like it for a Timeless issue because what does Luke Cage have to do with time travel? That I didn't think fit in a Timeless issue, but this Timeslide issue, it was actually good, since both Cable and Bishop are time travelers this fits, so I do like it. Just have Timeless one-shots be with time travelers only.
2. Tempus mentioned that this was after "The first Krakoan Era," so that means that 'Krakoa will return.' I will be honest, I was iffy about it since we once had Genosha and then we got Krakoa which we just got out of and to be told that Krakoa will come back, I was a little iffy about it, but now I am a little excited to see how that will turn out. (Now, just a theory, but "first Krakoan Era" definitely means that there will be more Krakoan Eras, but the question is how much more? Because I feel like ot wouldn't make much sense, and be very lack luster, to just bring Krakoa back for a second time and then that is it. It should be back for a third and fourth time, maybe a few times, but I feel like anything over five or six times will be too much. Just food for thought about how many times Krakoa will return.)
3. Revelation, the heir of Apokolypse, is going to follow in Apokolypse's shoes and be a threat to the other mutants and "finish the job," as Bronze said, and my question is why? I thought that Duke, the guy who became Revelation, was a cool guy who was involved with the X-Men and them and was genuinely less... Apokolypse like, I guess... I just don't get why he would go down that path. Either way, I am excited to see him and his change into this new Apokolypse because I am genuinely interested in what he will do and if he will be a worthy successor to fill the shoes of Apokolypse in terms of being cool and bad-@$$ and a legitimate threat.
4. Dormammu. I have been waiting for Dormammu to return in Marvel comics!!! That, out of everything is what I am most excited for!!!! I've always wanted to see Dormammu again, I want to see Dormammu vs Chthon, or Chthon vs Dormammu, I just want to see that fight!!!!!!! I hope that after that event with Dormammu in 2025 that he returns again after that!!! I also hope to see Dormammu get more powerful, like it said that he gains more power from the worship of beings in other dimensions that worship him like a God, and I hope taht they use that and other things to increase Dormammu's power and make him that much more of a threat, like a permanent powerup, not a temporary powerup. Anyway, I am absolutely excited to see Dormammu come back and I hope that they still use him more in the future after the upcoming story, and I mean still use him sooner rather than later after the story!!!!!
5. Catching a few glimpses here and there, mainly of what is happening right now, but there was Sabertooth, Iron Heart, Captain America werewolf and other werewolves, some organization or team with Mr. Hyde or someone, it is just a few things, but I am looking forward to them. Mainly Dormammu and Sabertooth.
6. The list showing the upcoming stories leading up to the war with Revelation that Bronze showed Cable and Bishop, the main one that I am curious about is who is left in the last mutant egg, because that is a mystery that I forgot about to be honest. However, there would be some wild theories sprouting about like Vulcan, or the original Beast, (thos are not going to happen), or someone else who is dangerous, but that could go all different types of ways, which I am excited for!
7. When Cable went back to ancient Egypt with Apokolypse, Apokolypse said that "more time travelers came to challenge En Saban Nurr," but... correct me if I am wrong, but Apokolypse on had to contend with the early time traveling version of Kang, Rama-Tut, right? Or... because the time travelers connected to that time were Rama-Tut, Nathaniel Richards, (in that new Kang Origin "Only myself left to conquer" where the younger him went back in time and met Rama-Tut), the Fantastic Four, and Cable in some stories, so... apart from Rama-Tut and Cable and Nathaniel Richards who eventually goes back in time to become Rama-Tut, I don't know any other time travelers to challenge En Saban Nurr, Apokolypse, in Ancient Egypt. Someone please let me know if there are anyone else that I am missing.
8. The story title about Strange of Asgard, I am interested in that because it sounds cool, but we all know that this will only be temporary and he will jus go back to being regular degular Dr. Strange. Which, don't get me wrong, I like Dr. Strange, but with the magical landscape in Marvel and with Dr. Strange himself... like Each world is said to have its own Sorcerer Supreme, at least in some stories where magicians or Sorcerer Supremes from many places come together to help Dr. Strange when something big is happening, and in earlier comics with characters like the High Evolitionary, who made a duplicate of Earth and put evolved species on it, and it was so good to the point that his world had its own Sorcerer Supreme. And I wish that they would explore that more, just explore the different Sorcerer Supremes out there in the universe on different planets, like different planets' own forms of magic and Sorcerers. I wish that this "Dr. Strange of Asgard," thing would have been like a new chapter for Dr. Strange to go towards something bigger, like Dr. Strange goes to Asgard and has this story, to where he leaves the Sorcerer Supreme mantel of Earth to someone else, maybe his wife Clea, or Dr. Voodoo, or Magik, or just someone else, and they are the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth now and Dr. Strange goes off to other worlds meeting up with other Sorcerer Supremes and other sorcerers from other worlds and getting more powerful magical and enchanted artifacts, gaining more knowledge and power in different forms and types of magic, and making Dr. Strange more of a Cosmic magician or sorcerer where he can go throughout the Universe and Marvel can explore hew things and other dimensions rather than just having it always tied down to Earth, like Cosmic magic, or going around and exploring more worlds and more magic and more people and characters, it seems like this could have paved the way to make Dr. Strange so much more and to expand parts of the Marvel Universe and lore and all of that, but that is not going to happen, it will all just go back to Dr. Strange, Sorcerer Supreme of Earth.
9. The Children of The Vault... I know that they were supposed to be an incoming threat and taking out the human race or whatever, but back in those issues that one girl with the metal skin or whatever, she proposed that they operate as heroes and buy the public's favor, and she was disagreeing with Cap-E-Tan about conquering humanity, and her and that pink haired girl that and some others seemed to actually like being heroes, and to be honest they didn't seem that bad. I honestly believe that the Children of the Vault, or at leat some of them, could have made great allies, but they are writing it to where they will just be in conflict with Cable and Bishop and the rest of the mutants for God knows how long. I like new enemies and new threats, don't get me wrong, but the Children of the Vault, it felt like a missed opportunity for great growth and characters to be added to the heroes and be new allies. I hope that they do that later on.
That's a lot. 1. Cable makes total sense being this year's slide as Marvel had said they were putting aside time shenanigans in the X titles. Have to use him somewhere. 2. I didn't like the Krakoa era because mutants acted like supremacists. Hopefully the next era will be in a different dimension or in deep space. 3. I didn't like the Heir to Apocalypse story. Cable would never play his game. Revelation came out looking like a good guy but I'll suppose he found his own take on survival of the fittest. 4. I saw Dormammu and thought back to the first legit team crossover book by Marvel with Avengers versus Defenders and it was due to the teamed machinations of Dormammu and Loki. 5. I think Hyde is part of what will be akin to Spider-Man's Sinister Six for Thor. 6. Hoping the egg is worth the wait. 7. It's early Apocalypse so he probably just faced Richards or Kang. 8. Heh. Remember I mentioned the link between Dormammu and Loki? It would be interesting if those two events were related. Last I saw Strange he still was missing a body. 9. Yes! I always thought that any strict society like the Vault would mean a constant supply of rebels that mean well. I'd love for a hero team to be pulled out. It would be a fish out of water story as they fit with neither mutants or humans.
Thought I'd add my two cents as you put in so much effort. Mostly I have my fingers crossed for a Dormammu-Loki reunion.
@carljensen333 Thank you. I agree with the Revelation stuff. I don't get why he turned evil, I am just excited to find out, not the wnding of it all. Yes, Cable and Bishop makes sense for time travel stories, so I am not mad at this, and I did enjoy it. I did not know that about Loki and Dormammu, but I am majorly excited for Dormammu to return!!! And thank you for understanding my thoughts on the Children of the Vault.
I need Bishop and Cable to be ongoing, their team ups are always so good. Great narration 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎
this is my go-to channel for current comics
Great channel! Such a clean and well done presentation. This miniseries by Steve Foxe is literally a cut and paste of his Dead X-Men book, where Mutants were chasing Cyborg Moira MacTaggart across time and space. Foxe also mixes in a little Kieron Gillen's Immortal X-Men by showing a timeline of possible events for X-Men fans to ponder over. I am not happy with what Foxe did with Doug Ramsey (AKA Revelation), and in fact, most of what Steve Foxe does is hit or miss for me. This doesn't look terrible.
The artwork is pretty nice, though. Thanks for the recap.
This was a great story.
Thanks for the recap. Wasn’t sure if I was going to read this or not
Let’s go! I’ve missed Bishop! I just started the video and I’m hoping that this series answers where kid Cable is
Kid Cable (better known as X Man) is not only from another time, but another reality (the Age of Apocalypse) so… I don’t think this series would necessarily apply to that version of Nate Summers. Now Nathan Askini’son otoh
Tempus looks like rogue …
I know right because she was born with gray hair I think?
We need more timeslide
Love the synopsis. It could be interesting if you added some of your opinions about it.
in Generation X vol 1 i forget the issue Storm and Bishop are visiting the team a bomb goes off and Bishop is Dazed and he sees a blurry figure coming to him asking him if he was already . Bishop called the Blurry figure Grandma and it turned out to be M or Monet and its also said Bishop is also some how connected to Gateway like M is too wish the books explore on this more .
Ironheart and Ms Marvel are a drag no one wants. That gets my complaints out of the way. This issue reminded me of old Marvel where writers could create a well told story in one issue. I didn't like the bad blood between created between Bishop and Cable and I liked their coming to terms with their pasts. I liked Emplate being used as the toss away villain because he's a vile character. I also found it neat that Vacuna's powers in action reminded of the spaghetti unravelling of reality in the MCU.
One more complaint. Vacuna was a non-entity threat. He never spoke and there was nothing about him that wasn't like a robotic weapon holding zero personality. I think it would have been more impactful if he showed at least some human attribute. Heck. Still good for a single issue story. Can't have everything.
Just because YOU don't want them doesn't mean no one wants them, so speak for yourself and stop speaking for other people.
@@onyx081 True. However, upon review of sales and restarts it appears that very few are keen on either of them. I'd not take away from your enjoyment. I can respect that you are a fan, please respect that I am not and neither are most comic fans. According to sales. According to common chatter. I speak only for myself but there are plenty more that agree with me than agree with you. Respectfully.
