Fatma Said sings García Lorca's "Sevillanas del siglo XVIII" (from 13 Canciones españolas antiguas)

Spanish poet and dramatist Federico García Lorca also possessed a deep affinity for music. Fatma Said presents one of his Trece Canciones Españolas Antiguas, with guitarist Rafael Aguirre, within the program of her debut album, El Nour: w.lnk.to/elnLY
In recording these songs by Lorca, Fatma says, "I was reminded that the guitar was one of the very earliest instruments in history to accompany the voice - centuries before the piano."

Esto es una canción popular. García Lorca (el típico señorito andaluz, por cierto, criado como un príncipe a costa de la gente que trabajaba para su familia) sabía música, tocaba el piano parece que decentemente y con una amiga suya cantante, La Argentinita, grabaron un serie de canciones populares. Eso es todo.
