This is the best execution of this piece ive ever heard. The dynamics are perfect and extremely intensive, and the timing too. I listen to someone else play it, and i dont feel hardly anything. I listen to THIS and it completely destroys me. Its just saturated with emotion. I can play this piece, but i realize i actually cant play this piece, because there is more to it than just notes. You cant olay this after a metronome. This is a piece that is supposed to be played by heart and with all the pain you know.
Many years ago used to listen Barrios a lot but didn't notice this piece. I was inspired to play it by this video. And I suppose prelude saudade is one of the best pieces for guitar
i consider myself a simple platypus. i discover that a track from IB was written 100 years ago, i search for the original and also a c- minor cover that was not done for the game but simply because it had to be done.
I'm studying this piece now, and am certainly inspired by your skill! Thank you for giving me such a clear picture of just how to play this beautiful and haunting piece that is deceptively difficult to play! (All those twisty chord shapes)
I have repeated this video 5 times and still immensely enjoying it. Its beauty and inner tension , reminiscent of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. The guitarist understands Barrios so well that she had recreated that dreamy world brilliantly. Bravo 👏 👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤ I subscribed her channel.
The best interpretation of this piece by far. The rest of them are a pause-fest and abuse of ralentando, but this one introduces the pauses without disrupting the flow of the piece
I cannot stand these pause fests either. Most of "la catedral" interpretations I've encountered so far also have this problem. I always revert to Denis Azabagic's interpretation for that reason.
Very beautiful! and melancholic as the feeling of south american indian music. I tried to play this piece but the left fingering is very difficult ! Bravo to the player!
@@marcelofernandezcornejo4022 True criticism usually comes from peers. This isn't about what's right or wrong. The point is that this is a "music video", not a performance. Nobody can even prove that the player you see on the screen is the one who has recorded this. A playback is a playback, there's no way around that fact. But the useless public wouldn't notice that, much less care about it, because the world of pop has complely ruined this generation. All they want is what they can see, and they don't care if it's fake or not. It's ok to make a music video, nothing wrong with that. But it's also ok to discuss playback and that usually it's utilized to fool the unknowing masses. More internet views can push one's career forward, but since the masses aren't interested anyway, might as well forget doing it for them.
@@marcelofernandezcornejo4022 When you go to a live concert, would you mind if the performer / band used playback and merely acted like they were playing? How about if you go to a circus and the stunts were all prerecorded and used hologram to show it to you? What about sports? Sadly, that's where this transhumanistic world is heading. This guitarist has every right in making an artistic video - this conversation isn't about that at all nor about her. I'm not calling her fake, obviously she can play. But this isn't a live take, that's all. It's a very difficult piece for the left hand and requires strength and control. Recording in the studio isn't playing it live. Some bands have great recordings, but live they can't play worth crap. A musician used to be defined as someone who doesn't need to rely on 300 takes to get through a phrase played just right. Recordings are artistic renditions, they're a different artform - it has nothing to do with live energy. Just thought some people might find it interesting to realize the fact that this is indeed prerecorded: she's not really playing here, contrary to the preconceived notion of the comment section. Again, this has nothing to do with the quality of her playing, much less about her. Nothing to do with disliking her or her playing.
Thank you. To you, to Agustin Barrios, and to IB for making me love this song even more.
what is IB ?
@@TheElderOne28 Ib is a quite popular psychological horror game made in RPG Maker. It features some beautiful guitar songs from popular artists.
And thank you to this performance for delivering us this amazing listening experience!
Which piece was it inspired by, BVW 847 or BWV 999?
ibuprofen eyyyyy

Beautifully said sir. i agree wholeheartedly.
Can't stop playing this, flawless performance of a short but great piece.
It really doesn't feel that short when you're playing it, haha. Better warm up good ;)
I orignally heard this piece in the video Ib but it has became one of my favorite pieces of classical music.
Played with sensitivity and excellent musical expression. Beautiful tone!

this song is very hard to play, I had a tendinitis trying to learn it, and she plays it perfectly
Maravillosa y barrios sublime
A breathtakingly beautiful interpretation -- thank you!

Could you explain how you're a "platypus"? I've never heard anyone refer themselves to being that odd egg laying mammal.
I imagine it’s because Platypuses adore changing platters on turn-tables and the like.

Excelente interpretación.

Very well played. I did enjoy the melody very much
Love Barrios and this was a wonderful performance...thank you so much!
It's a playback.
@@luckylicks3497 that's what the envious say who have never played a concert classical guitar.

Absolutely beautiful!
so cool with the dynamic moving of the camera... really adds to the solace of the piece somehow
Great technique and expression. Beautiful performance.

Beautiful music
Thanks for sharing this beautiful performance.
Back again. 👍
