What ballet companies do you think I auditioned for? One is very big, one is medium sized, and the other one is a smaller company ✨💕

About forgetting combinations... If your zoom class has a screen recording feature in-app, I'd use that. If not, I would get screen recording software so you can see the class anytime you need it. If that won't work, try to record yourself practicing the combo as soon as you can. I hope this helped. 💙

Truth be told bc of covid every ballet company in the country is cutting staff right now the are people who were offered their apprenticeship positions two years ago who still have not started. Also she is a good dancer but she is not great in this world you have to be great and as far as elite level ballet goes she is very average. So in all likelihood unless her internet fame helps her out because companies can see how nice and hardworking and smart she is there is no way she is getting a spot somewhere.
@@Its_Elise_C I agree Ik this may not be the same but I’m in band and i remember thinking I was really good but then I went to a higher level and everyone was the same as me or some even better so then I and everyone had to step up and do much better and push ourselves so we could make it to higher levels and I feel it’s the same with ballet. You may be good in your level but going higher like you said you might just be average and not as experienced as you think.

I’m a trainee with a smaller ballet company in FL and it has been a great experience. Honestly smaller companies can be so so so good because you will receive more one on one attention and grow at a faster rate! So whatever happens will be what is best for you, good luck!!☺️

They are good but no great, smaller companies dont get sponsors from places like lets say YAGP..which is what almost every ballerina aims for
@@itsjiminsnonexistentjams1221 YAGP doesn’t sponsor companies. It’s the other way around. Companies such as the Royal Ballet school sponsor YAGP and offer scholarships.
@@balletpink2218 yagp has sponsored NYC ballet and Bolshoi to get their trainee to model for there merchandise.
i reallyyy liked this video, i felt like we were chatting, and talking about companies and auditions. such good vibes 😌 when you were talking about your first audition and how you were disappointed i literally felttt that. but always remember no matter how many bad days you are still literally an AMAZINGG dancer ! always remember that and once again the vibes are unmatched today.

You are a beautiful dancer and love seeing these videos! One thing that helped me with company auditions is remembering that not only are you auditioning so they can see if you’re a good fit, but you’re also auditioning to see if they are a good fit for you. Going into auditions with that mindset made me feel more relaxed and in control of the situation. Can’t wait to hear where you end up!!

I am currently studying Musical Theatre in Germany and we have a very basic Ballet class (besides to our other dance courses Jazz and Tap and our acting and singing classes) and I already feel in that class how much discipline and ambition you need in order to get the stuff right and I know its a joke compared to what you are doing..I have deepest respect for Ballet professionals!!

@@Uhhbyeee That's so cool! First it is very important that you have German songs in your Rep .. that's required for the auditions there ..and with monologues it depends..there are a few "Public" musical schools that also demand German literature here but then there are the private one's that sometimes accept both so I would just ask ..well and then it is good to know that at private schools you show all three, singing, dancing and acting before they make a decision while at the public one's you can be eliminated in every round and the first one is singing :) good luck!!

Victoria Thomas I am at Stage School Hamburg, thats the probably most known private one which i can really recommend, and if you wanna go for the public ones, i would look for „Theaterakademie August Everding“ in Munich or „Folkwang Universtiy of Arts“ in Essen :)

11:22 I think we have a lot in common, I auditioned for 3 conservatoires also online and also felt for ages that because I'm going to one of the "less prestigious" ones that I'm not good enough, which is complete crap because how a place feels matters so much more, league tables mean nothing

i am 13 and i’m not a trainee like a professional trainee or whatever but they have a trainee program for like 10-18 i think at a local company so i’m doing that and i got my first pair of pointe shoes the other day IM SO EXCITED 🥳

Girl I literally never comment on RUclips.....but my dude just take a deep breath. You're in a good spot. You've got tons of support, you're growing your brand, and at 18 you have so much room for potential and growth. Just cuz auditions are hard one year doesn't mean that you can't try again or find a company elsewhere that you like better/suits you better. Take some of the pressure off girly if ya can cuz you are so talented and I really see awesome things in your dance future. Don't stress, have fun :)
Screw that “dream co.”! Lol (I said it for you dear. ) kidding aside, you shouldn’t give up with this dream. Keep auditioning there anyway because things change. Directors, what they look for, ect ,ect. And just the DOING of auditioning is helping you to get in somewhere! Not ONE experience is wasted. You are growing as a pro before even getting your first paycheck from a company. Because it takes more than perfect feet and technique. I know you know this. I just had this same experience over zoom.. first group.. no space to dance in.. didn’t get one combination.. I’m dying 😂❤️😂 my audition was also on the 28th of March 🕺🏻😎 loved the contemporary part too!
Zoom auditions have been so hard for me too 😭 I'm so wobbly
tysm for showing the truth about auditioning and trying to get into a company. We usually just see girls being succesful in "everything" and this reminds me that life is not like what we see in social midia...

i audition for 2 companies for the summer intensives and then i got into both!!
I take dance classes on zoom with my class and it’s hard for me too to like reverse what I’m seeing, especially when I’m learning a dance and then I see my teacher go to the right on the screen so I do and then I’m like wait no I’m supposed to go to the left in like “real life” 😂 idk its a little hard 🙈😂😂

I don’t have a “dream company” I just want to keep my options open when I get to the point in my life when I do start auditioning because I don’t want to set my sights on just 1 company because i may not get in

Me: thinking: oh how early? oh, 8? I start work at 8 am...and I work really long days too...
I'm, not a ballet girl, I suck at dancing, I'm just sorta obsessed with watching ballet... I'm an equestrian.. I think the physical is kinda the same with work in horses and work as a ballerina... long days, very physical... hard work... sometimes mentally heavy too... having to be very physically fit and strong..
You work really hard, you got this! you'll find the perfect spot in the perfect company!

I have committed to going to iddywild arts academy, as a ballet major for high school. And I am nervous that I won’t be able to get into a company if I go. (Dance college isn’t bad btw just not my goal)
Okay I know nothing about Ballet but can you like re-audition for companies every year? Like you said you didn’t get into the one your wanted to so next year can you try again?

And I’m glad I didn’t because I ended up the principle dancer of my ballet company! :) I have a question: where do you get your leotards? Do you know any websites where the leos aren’t outrageously expensive? 🥰😃 Also, I’m sure you did amazing! And what is meant to happen will!❤️
