How could you not love Hello Kitty?
Making Stitch coasters for daughter. She will love them! Thank you for this simple idea. BTW, daughter is 33, and is Stitch obsessed.

It's matte on the underside. If you wanted to shine it up on the underside, you could paint a thin coat for resin on the bottom after it has hardened and then both sides would be shiny.

Yes you can, if you can find them. I looked and could not find any stickers of them. You can also cut a picture of them from a magazine and Mod Podge it to the first layer of hard resin and then let the Mod Podge dry completely before pouring the next layer.

Great question. Some resins do have a very strong odor. I don't have very good ventilation where I work, so I can't use the stuff with the stronger odors until it gets warmer outside. That is why I use EasyCast, it's low odor and I don't have any trouble working with it all. EasyCast is meant for smaller pours, so you wouldn't do a table top, or anything large with it, but it is perfect for the coasters!!

I absolutely love your way of doing this best,I am new to resin and thought it was too hard to see what your pattern idea was by doing what so many people do with the stickers by turning them face down and doing that part first.... this is SO much easier. Thank You!!!..I'd LOVE to see you make more coasters...love watching the process to get ideas :o)

Can you make a coaster just with glitter
I haven't had luck with mod podge in my coasters. You can see a "cloud" in the resin wherever the mod podge was applied. Do you have this trouble?
I've found that if I get impatient and not allow it to dry totally, then I get clouds as well.

Cute coaster! ! I haven't seen anyone seal the stickers on top of the resin like that. That would really cut down on time sealing all the stickers prior to applying them. At the end of the video it looked like a couple of spots on the squirrel and possibly some on Hello Kitty herself. Did any spots come through? I am curious because I would love to try doing a piece like that if it really works good...I hate messing up super cute stickers. : ( I would like to give it a whirl today! ; ) Thanks!!
Kelly W. Hi Kelly - It's been a while since I made that one. What I use now is Super Gloss Mod Podge. After the first layer of resin has set, I add the stickers and cover the entire coaster with a minimum of two coats of Super Gloss Mod Podge. That way, I know I won't miss a spot and the Super Gloss dries much clearer than the regular gloss. Hope that helps!

Kelly W. I get much better results with the Super Gloss. The matte and regular gloss are more milky.
