  • This is my latest modeling toy - a DSPIAE ES-P Portable Electric Grinder. It is a USB charged rotary tool, which can substitute some of more powerful Dremel in modeling applications. It is not an expensive tool but it is a lot more powerful that I expected it to be. A very useful thing to have when working with models that need alterations or on complex vignettes and dioramas.

There is an adapter available to fit generic dremel shank sizes so buffing wheels, disc cutters etc can also be used, great little tool.

That seems like a handy tool, but I have to say that I'm disappointed they didn't make it with a universal standard three-jaw chuck so that other size bits may be used. Thanks for taking the time to review it. 👍

You should show what the different speeds are on plastic, slow up to fast speeds and how they grind. Please give the size of the shanks of the cutters / grinders, 1/8" inch or 7/32 " inch in Imperial size ( USA ) . If the tool can't be slowed down enough it will just melt the plastic or be too hard to control for fine work.

It is very powerful, but no, it won't melt the plastic.
The sizes that you might need are seen on the back of the cover, which you can check pausing the video. The rest hasn't been measured and even if it was, it wouldn't be in imperial size.
Slowing it down will beat the purpose to some extent. That was the reason I mentioned the nail polisher. If you want slower and more gentle tool, that is your course of action.

Priced to high for what you get, not worth investing in.
