    Why do you said the oven instead of thi oven ( thi pour la prononciation avant une voyelle)?

    Hey,
    I watch again your video and I have two questions.
    At 2'12 when you said mash I heard the word with a "t" or maybe "ed" at the end. So is it for the past tense ?
    And the second one is for the verb stir. Is it possible to use the verb mix also or it's not avaible for cooking ?
    Thank's a lot, your content is very helpfully :)

    • @PeasyAnglais
      @PeasyAnglais  3 года назад +1

      Hey, good question! The verb is "to mash" and I gave an example of "mashed potatoes" et tu as bien remarqué quand c'est au passé le ed se prononce t. "Mashed potatoes" = donc des patates écrasées (sauf qu'en français vous l'appelez juste "de la purée").
      There's just a small difference between mix and stir. Yes you can use mix for cooking, it means "mélanger", but "stir" talks more about the circular mouvement with you arm/hand. You can say for example "Stir the ingredients to mix" (touille pour mélanger?) Does that help?

    Thanks a lot for the video! I’ve always said “unskin” instead of “peel” and “shake” instead of “blend”... They don’t work, right? 😅 great content!

    • @PeasyAnglais
      @PeasyAnglais  3 года назад +2

      No prob 😊 Yeah unskin doesn't work! There is the verb "to skin" but usually that's for taking the skin off of a dead animal when you're a hunter! Shaking is what you see bartenders do to mix a cocktail between two glasses.

    Thank you for this video! I need to remember "dough" for pizzas and bread and "batter" for cakes. Is it "batter" for pancakes too? I saw "pancake mix" once.
