In fairness, Mr. Johnson opened it to take the garbage and left it open, it was initially closed but you’re point stands, idk why they didn’t drop the subject when the door was open
Really enjoyed that Ava was more involved with her colleagues and more involved what’s going on with her students on this episode. She’s usually in her office making tik toks of herself slacking but lately I’ve been seeing some changes on her being the principal. I like this I like that her character is developing becoming more wise. Abbot elementary needs a great principal and if that principal is Ava so be it.
I also like how they're not compromising her character for it too. It's the subtle changes but overall she still feels like Ava which I think is hard to pull off so props to the writing/acting for that.
I absolutely LOVE this show! It’s so relatable and realistic-you DEFINITELY need to do something to unwind and decompress from dealing with the stress of teaching 😅
MY FELLOW STONER JANINE TEAGUES😂😂The fact that they all do something is hella realistic. Even Gregory uptight ass got an edible. Barbara being the Bible thumping queen per usual.😅 “Crackheads” Mr Johnson PLEASE😂😂😂
So lets go over their drugs/alcohol: -Jacob-vapes -Janine-smokes medicinal weed -Ava-hookah -Gregory-weed (protein) edibles -Barbara-wine -Melissa-CBD weed -Custodian-weed
I must be boring then. Because as a 31 year old woman. I don't smoke anything. Never have. Marijuana smells like dirty diapers. Never smoke a cigarette either or vaped. As an asthmatic. I am not putting anything willingly in my lungs that isn't my Albuterol inhaler.
I wish my job was cool like that weed is legal where I live but a lot of people are still afraid of it just admitting you smoke will have your bosses and supervisors judging you and calling you a safety hazard even if you’re sober 😂
In Career Day Part 1, Manny told Janine that while she is in the Robe Fellowship at the District of Philadelphia, she is welcome to come back to Abbott twice a week to keep in touch with her fellow teachers and test out all her new ideas. At the beginning of Smoking, Janine explains that she visits Abbott Elementary School to check on her class's weekly substitute teachers. While the B-story was about Janine questioning Jessca's teaching methods when she never takes her job seriously, coming back to Abbott Elementary to check on her substitutes also roped her into the A-story about the smoking student. Obviously, Smoking is a topic too serious for Janine's district job to separate her from what goes on at the school in this story. March 24, 2024, 12:58am
I didnt like this episode. I get that plenty of adults watch without children but theres also plenty of families that watch with elementary or middle school aged children. And before anyone says it of course I talk to my own children about all the things to include not doing drugs. Still Jeanine going from how she was S1 and S2 , to smoking weed nightly. the rest of them doing similiar and the assembly being very ambigoius on all the drugs to include opoids. Really irresponsible writing for a show about elementary students. The new swearing smoke Jeanine is not as funny anyhow. Not enjoying this season at all and I was a big fan of S1 and S2.
Isn't the takeaway lesson of this episode is children should stay in the children's world and let adults be adults including their teachers? If anything, the scene alone will help start the conversation with the young generation who is growing up in a world where everything the teachers mentionned is actually legal and authorized for sale. Now that's the scary part.
Well no disrespect but just because this show has elementary students, doesn’t mean that the audience should be elementary students. The show from the very beginning has had all kinds of sexual innuendos and profanity. It’s centered around the teachers, not the kids.
Sorry, Janine. You don’t beat cigarettes with the Truth campaign, you smoke cigarettes with the Truth campaign for they’re so cringy and tone deaf. Disclaimer: As much as I’m in favor of ending smoking. The Truth campaign is notoriously cringey, doesn’t really post facts but rather obscure ones that don’t touch on the key issue of why people smoke, especially vaping which is still smoking.
