      I agree he should be left alone and enjoy his first cup win. However he unfortunately has to be the poster boy for change. This gimmick cannot continue . Nascar with their horrible ruling calling, caution calling and gimmick playoffs is making it border line unwatchable

    I think everyone should be so happy for young Harrison Burton and his 1st race. There's so much emphasis on the drivers that everyone thinks should have won just because they have been regularly seasoned with wins, in playoffs, etc. He has done something great, let him enjoy his 1st cup race. It's not his fault for all the accidents that happened, so he had an opportunity to win. Integrity???? why, because he was the last driver for the season, like Jr said there were other drivers that found their way from the back, win, get in playoffs and it is what it is. Plus millions of dollars were made & Wood Brothers reap that!! Thanks Harrison Burton for being such a great young man, humble,, crying the victory lap, your proudness of giving Wood Brothers their 100th win. YOU WILL BE NEEDED AS A DRIVER FOR A SMART, CARING TEAM.

  • @arendrollo

    The biggest winner of Burton’s win is absolutely without a doubt Josh Berry.
    Next year the Wood Brothers will have a funding boost on top of the already existing alliance with Penske. I can easily see the 21 having a season comparable to the 23, 17, and front row cars in terms of points finish and top 15 speed. Berry could easily take the 21 to victory lane at any short track.

      Harrisons win was cool for sure, but thinking this is somehow gonna bring the Wood Brothers out of 30+ in the points is wishful thinking. If they had brought Rodney Childress over with Josh Berry I'd agree with you. Bringing Josh into the organization as it is, how could that bring any different results as they've had the last several years. In spite of the Penske alliance, the Wood Brother have underachived at an embarrassing level for an organization of their stature. Unfortunately the sport has passed them by to a point they may never recover. My bet is, Josh Berry will regret the day he signed with the Wood Brothers. I'm bettin' it will be Josh's ticket out of NASCAR. I hate it for both of them. I was always a fan of the Wood Brothers. David Person, Foyt, man those were the days.What they did for pit stops at Indy is legendary and will never be forgotten.

    • @arendrollo
      @arendrollo 16 дней назад

      @@busher69 Remember, the 21 was a playoff car with Blaney and DiBenedetto.
      I guess it depends on your stance on Berry. I think his talent is in between Blaney and DiBi, rather than being close to Burton. The 21 is essentially a 4th Penske car, and Harrison has been greatly disappointing through his underperformance.
      I agree with you that the Wood Brothers are partly to blame for why they don’t have speed. It’s their car, a bad driver in a good car should still get middling results rather than be 34th and last in points. But I also think past results with other drivers prove that the 21 being 34th in points is more on Burton than the Wood Brothers.

Never thought i would be thinking those words in that order lol. Then is burton gonna win? I knew as long as kb didnt win, we were gonna have an odd winner. Great job by quite a few of the smaller teams. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. Especially at daytona. That said, i saw rick ware cars up towards the front most of the race. @@johnhaas2523 missed the “get to the playoffs” bit? Why have points at all? It fails every time. Road course specialist 💩 the ovals but wins on a road coarse and makes the playoffs over a team that consistently runs to 20. It amateur. NASCAR is not best of the best. Everything lowers the bar. Stage racing. cookie cutter cars eliminate team engineering. Win and you’re in is the Hail Mary nascar created to help popular drivers and teams make a playoff. Best teams and drivers don’t always make final four. Good deal of luck plays a huge role. Get rid of those and Kyle Larson wins everything and takes Petty’s records. It’s nerfed racing.

    This ain't F1... if you have a chance to go for the win, you go for it. You don't let your teammate pass you because the team said so. That's not racing. It's just not. Retzlaff did exactly what he's supposed to do and both he and Bell can't just back off and not push the other guy. If anyone has a problem with this, they're an idiot.

    I look at Harrison winning like the 9-7 Giants going on to win the Super Bowl against the Patriots. You don't have to have the best record or be the most naturally talented team. You have to want it more and play your hand flawlessly which the #21 team can do. If it were a Hendrick or Gibbs car going from the bottom in points to the playoffs we'd hear a lot less of this "struggle with the integrity of the system."

    You win, your in!!! That is exactly what it was set up for. Who doesn't like an underdog? A Cinderella story is good for NASCAR period. What better way then a good kid who is loosing his ride next year to bet all odds and to give the wood brother's their 100th win. You go Harrison. You know tickle me even better (probably have a better change of winning the lottery but) if he won the championship. Now that would definitely stun everybody and be something worth talking about

      They need to, but they won't. Nascar hasn't had a real true champion since they changed to this playoff garbage. The system has been flawed and fake since it started. I hear stupid people say this is what makes Nascar unique, but it doesn't. Every sport has a playoff system. None is as flawed as Nascars. Nascar is lost, and they keep getting worse.

    I was at the track with a headset on, tuned into Parkers radio. Everything they talked about to not push the 21, help the 8, etc... was not heard on "channel 1" it was radio silence when Parker asked what the plan was. They must have forgotten to switch back from "channel 2". Obviously, they said stuff because it's all over the internet that they did, but no one tuned into his radio at the track heard any of it.

    The current NASCAR playoffs is like being in the first round of a Fantasy Football league playoff game and the other guy you're playing against that week stopped playing 2 months ago and has 4 players on IR and no quarterback. No one enjoys a slam dunk victory. The playoffs are suppose to be exciting. It defeats the point of a playoff when there is a lack of competition.
