I’ve been getting a surprising number of comments claiming this video was faked, which I want to address here. I always go to great lengths to ensure there’s no way I could cheat (like setting up a second camera and solving under a table), although I guess that was the source of confusion. It’s easiest to confirm this video if you check out the unedited success, linked in the description. You can tell that both shots were taken at the same time, as any tiny movements in the wide shot translate perfectly my hand movements, which would be impossible to fake. You can also tell that there’s no cut in audio after the solve; all the cube sounds were recorded from the wide camera. Finally, you can see during the second solve that I’m holding the cube directly underneath the table, about a foot back from the table’s edge, which would make it impossible to see, even under my blindfold. If I’ve still failed to convince you, I’d encourage you to check out my WCA profile, linked below. I have plenty of successful 3x3 blind solves, as well as a couple failed 3x3 multiblind and, after this weekend, one failed 4x4 blind solve. I tried that once, here’s how it went... 1. I woke up 2. I solved 4x4 blindfolded 3. I went to a competition 4. I won 5. Everybody loved me Now read it in this order and this is what really happened 2, 3, 4, 5, 1.
@@rivcharles yeah ikr sometimes theres 3 after you end the cycles, and you'd have to do the flipping alg on 2 of them to fix it, and i somehow always only do 1, and result in a dnf

(Im guessing you mean remembering while doing memo and you want to start a new cycle)Wings have 1 letter assigned to each one so if they weren't solved at the start and you didn't pass through a specific letter already then you can shoot to any letter that isn't in your memo at that moment. for example: you start with ge tb ud and you reach the buffer then you can start a new cycle with the "a" wing and go on.
I learned how to solve a 3x3 without looking at any notes or anything today and my time is 4:21.77 is that good? I started learning how to solve the cube while looking at my notes or watching your tutorial video 2 days ago. I'm using a speedcube that I lubed. Edit: After trying again a few times I got 2:57.17
And bro, 5x5 Blindfolded isn't even that different from 4BLD. Its a small learning curve. Probably like 10 algs extra to learn, but most of these are setup-moves to centers that are rather intuitive anyway. Its literally r2 like 4bld, and then m2 for midges like 3BLD. You use U2 for x-centers exactly like 4BLD, and a modified U2 method for the plus-centers. And corners... Duh, its corners. Nothing special. You got this.

I use Premiere Pro for all video editing, although it’s definitely overkill for just speeding up video.
