He has lost 1 playoff game to someone other than brady aka current qbs none to the current nfc qbs ...and got killed in 1 playoff game the super bowl vs. brady and he easily could of beaten brady in 19...the pats and bucks are not contenders anymore...meaning the bengals are the only team that can think they can beat mahomes....

Not one GM wouldn't swap his QB for Mahomes... in less than a second.
The only team that wouldn't swap their qb coach entire defense and best other offensive player for just mahomes is probably the bengals and that is a maybe and only if burrow stays healthy....that means no andy travis or jones just mahomes going forward with no defense coach or top weapon...the bengals are the only team that would say no...people might say 49ers or ravens but I doubt it...the 9ers would still have talent and the ravens would be better off

Collin I get u think Dak isn't that great.. But your argument that he needs to be elevated is ridiculous. Last year the run game was non existent and how many games did they win. Even if I have issues with this top 10, the general idea makes much more sense to me than the current philosophy of paying QBs, where it just seems to be based on "well the last guy got paid this much so I should make at least that". What has Trevor Lawrence done to earn the same yearly amount as Burrow? And Schefter is talking about how Love could become the highest paid QB in history. That's ridiculous. Instead of the last big contract setting the floor, Mahomes' contract should be the ceiling.

It's not only talent, the salary cap has gone up significantly since Mahomes signed his deal, so the percentage of the cap you're taking up at the time of signing is more relevant than the dollar amount

@@evanheggem5838 yea, imo baker has shown that he is pretty good and can carry bad teams(except Carolina, which no one can). In Tampa it’s far from a bad team, but he elevates the team more than the team elevating him. Def better than Trevor, a guy that has had less success and mostly is riding off “potential” from college. Trev and Burrow are two sides of the same coin, but Burrow has actually won and shown he has skill

Herbert went through the last bit of Chargers organizational incompetence after Philip Rivers left, now they are actually making smart moves and Harbaugh will get things straighten out and Herbert will just ball out
Im so sad they wasted rivers' prime in sd/la. They were about as dysfunctional as any team in the league during the 2010s with terrible coaching and roster construction. I can only imagine how much better his career would've turned out somewhere else. I think its telling that a guy as highly touted as herbert has had even less success in la than rivers did in his late 30s which shows how good rivers was and how awful the chargers organization is

He also hasn’t had a defense, nor has he had an 1000 yards rushing RB or a true running game. He also had one of the highest PFF rating under pressure and one of the highest PFF rating with a clean pocket

Went to Arrowhead and held his own for the next playoff game then spent the 2nd half of this season injured and played through obviously limitations.. if you think Purdy and Trevor would be a wash of a trade then your entitled to think that… wish nothing but the best for Brock. Purdy is better than Lawerence.
He's certainly played better, but Lawrence would probably have similar if not better production on the 49ers, and Purdy would not be as good on the Jags.

I think he's got enough good players around him (RB's , WR , TE ) that he isn't asked to rush like crazy or throw a billion times a game. Uncle Colin is always spot on. Spits facts, gets everyone wild up on his takes. He's not wrong, he categorized everything based on different attributes and abilities, made it clear its not the NFL's top 10.

Dak had 3 different coaches, offensive coordinator coaches, and only had one seasons where he led in interception rate. 💁🏾♂️

I don't care how good of a QB mahomes is if Andy Reid retires KC becomes a different team and mahomes won't have the same success with a different coach. there should be more talk about what coaches bring to the teams success, look at Stafford he went 0-16 with Megatron, I could only imagine that team with Campbell as coach and what harbuagh is gonna mean to herbert and the chargers. It is rare for great QBs to be successful without great coaches and sometimes mediocre QBs have success with great coaches.

Sean Payton winning almost all the games Drew Brees missed a couple of years ago with Jameis Winston, Taysom Hill and Teddy Bridgewater. He literally made Russ look like a decent qb last year and got teams to believe in TeddyB as a starting Qb

Another thing i hate is when you say burrow can go toe to toe with mahomes as if they are the only two on the field playing, you talking heads talk as if the other 10 guys are just extras or cast members..
While they’re not playing directly against each other like in basketball they still are competing against each other. For instance if Mahomes is out here doing his thing other QBs get tight and make mental mistakes trying to keep up with him. Also QBs are the most important position on the field and are directly responsible for a teams success or failure. It’s perfectly valid
Except when the receiver drops a dime thrown to him or runs the wrong route. Also if the tight-end blocks the WRONG guy 😑 if the O-line didn’t detect a formation in time…etc…or if the coach doesn’t discipline his players properly. Or if some guy’s heart skips a beat after a hard tackle??
It takes years probably to learn how to properly take a snap as an individual learning the sport. Technically, the only thing he’s really responsible for is throwing besides not dropping a hand off to a runner. Also spiking.

While also leading the league in TDs and wins behind…. Mahomes
He also leads the league in touchdowns since 2020 with 174, while Mahomes has 151. Also, Mahomes' head coach is the best offensive mind in football history and Allen has had three different OCs in four years.

Herbert has had stacked teams & underachieved & Trevor is underachieving on all levels
If Purdy fails, then he failed on a stacked roster. If he succeeds, then he only succeeded because he had a stacked roster.

If the 49ers made the Super Bowl with Jimmy Garoppolo at qb then it proves that you really just need somebody mid or slightly above average to be a contender with that team so they really are not reliant on purdy at all

Purdy through more tds in the first playoff run in which he didn’t even get to really play in the nfc championship than garapollo has in his entire career in the playoffs. Chiefs have won 63 games in the last 5 years, the Bills have won 58.
They have played against each other in 3/4 playoffs with 1 being for the super bowl on the line and the other two games were absolute show stopper games.
In the last 4 years when talking about consistency it's very clear the Chiefs have been the best team in the league and the Bills have been 2nd best (Bills have beaten Dallas in this time multiple times, blew out the 49ers in SF, blewout rams in LA, beat the rams again another season, beat rodgers packers, and is 2-0 vs the ravens in this time frame, and the Bills are 3-4 vs the Chiefs so they've had their number a few times as well).
The difference between them has been and always will be Andy Reid. Reid handled Mahomes coming to the league better than Sean McDermott did with Allen by letting Mahomes sit a year behind Alex Smith while Allen was behind Peterman then thrown into the line up and his rookie year QB room was him and Peterman. Andy also had a roster already built for Patrick to come in while Josh was coming in with Kelvin Benjamin and Zay Jones as his best guys. Then Sean McDermott cannot for the life of him manage end of game situations, handle stopping opposing teams in the playoffs, or fix his issues with clock management. Also there are times when Mahomes is struggling and Andy has fantastic play design to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers and get through Patrick's occasional mid game slumps. Meanwhile in Buffalo Sean doesn't do the offense so whatever OC usually just tells Josh to play through it and never gives any sort of support as far as screens, jet sweeps, shovel passes, etc. Every play for Josh Allen's career has been "Josh will you please do literally everything" (except for these last few games with Joe Brady who thank god looks competent). If these two swapped teams right now, the Chiefs would still be the clear super bowl favorite and the Bills would still be looked at as missing pieces.
I appreciate Mahomes greatness but so many of you are missing out on watching the second best QB of the era with your negative colored glasses on. The only 2 QB's in HISTORY that can do everything a QB prospect should want to do (throw 75+ yards, accuracy, throw on the run, improvisation, able to be the teams primary running back, fast, can underhand with accuracy, presnap ability, ability to carry a team when no one else is doing anything, difficult to sack, can play on the road, clutch etc.) are Mahomes and Allen. Other QB's may have had a lot but these are the first two to have them all. Appreciate them both while you can cause this rare combo of every single great trait in a QB is a rare, let alone having two of them at the same time and watching them duel it out twice a year is a privilege to watch.
Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence, and Goff over Purdy is hilarious. At least Goff has some pedigree. Love barely played. Even Herbert is starting to look shaky.

I’m kinda down the middle with Purdy, in terms of an individual game changer. I think he’s good. Great decision maker, accurate. He’s young too. He’s still ascending. Situation he’s in is so ideal though…he’s surrounded by HOF talent and best play caller in NFL. If you put on Giants or Panthers, I think he would still ultimately show he can be a starter. I don’t think you can play at an elite level and then just be complete garbage elsewhere. But it’s helping a lot haha. Goff I think right now is better. Love played great 2nd half of last year and has more upside. Lawrence I agree shouldn’t be considered better right now, but I think he’s getting overhated. Played elite at times yr 2, won a playoff game already, I think Jags are arguably worst run franchise in league, etc. I get he was average last yr, but he’s obviously more gifted than Purdy and they’re the same age exactly. Tbh I think Purdy is the toughest call in the league because his situation is so unique.

You can say Purdy prob wouldn’t be same on a less talented roster, but that’s irrelevant because this is the timeline we’re in haha. He’s great where he’s at. I thought he played really well in SB too. That’s the unique part of playing QB though. There’s different ways to win. Take Fields for example. He’s complete 180 of Purdy. All physical talent in the world, but slow to make reads and inaccurate often. Maybe a coach though wants a guy who can make plays off schedule because it can bail him out. Meanwhile, a guy like Shanahan wants full control of how his QB operates and Purdy works with that mindset. I gotta say though, I do think Purdy is on a shortlist of guys I see winning SB. Even with Goff, I think he’s slightly better individually but I just can’t imagine Lions ever winning a SB haha. Maybe I’m wrong, we’ll see. Purdy prob will hear at least once in the next 5 years.
So purdy's highly productive, wins a lot, and colin only argument is he doesn't elevate others even though Ayiuk had his best season with purdy and kittle had his first 1000 yard season since 2019 with purdy and kyle got his first come from behind wins this season with purdy leading the comebacks...but he doesnt make the list

Sure, he had a terrible game against the bucs in the Super Bowl, but he made arguably two of the best throws of his career in that game that hit the receivers right in the hands. That throw he made while being horizontal to the ground was insane.

I think you missed it in the beginning of the video where he said that if he feels you’re not responsible for your teams success you don’t make the list. In Purdys case a lot of people feel that his success is due to the system and talent around him as opposed to him being the reason, the evidence is Jimmy G had similar success when healthy
