Since it looks like heat is what caused your voice coil to separate, have you considered adding those infrared temperature sensors that can tell you the coil temperature of each sub?
I have some, but they only work the first time i try them out . i have been thinking about buying a new set of sensors because my box design is the only way i can monitor voice coil temperature 👍🔈🔉

Those were the HC18S 2500 watts rms. i been pushing those subwoofers to the limit. The sub were able to handle 9000 watts a piece multiple times on burps. I think they can be a great daily sub on rms power. But in my case, i have a lot of power available and always get carried away 👍🔊
@956Bassaddict I have two fi hc 15s in my garage I put a bass 8k taramps on them and they barely got warm I have a jp63 amplifier I'm about to run on my 99Dd 18 jp amplifiers are a little bit cleaner than taramps I want to say because of the dampening factor meaning how well the amplifier controls the movement of the subwoofer
I got some old school Fi car audio stickers. I’d like to give you a cut off of them. You’re the only person I see rocking their shit stickers are from the early 2000s definitely cool give me your email.
The rear mount is not a problem. But the front ones are a little tricky. I try to slide them to the front side of the camper shell the muches I can, and I use a long ratchet to secure the mounts.

You rather have 3in coil than 4 huh guess it will have a lot more power 4 in coil,I was doing my build . How I do it is but one part at a time lol bad at saving money ,got everything but subs n amp or n box than into car crash broke femur now out of work for a year , only getting 350 a week , thank God my wife gets paid more than me sucks having her pay all bills while I sit at home sucks really takes the man out of you ,god is good tho , going to used the money I get and no more rent down payment on house

How long is the winding on them coils holy shit those things have got to have at least an inch and a half of linear movement both ways. Unreal. Fi for the win.

I have a similiar setup on my Tacoma how you get to the inside camper shell mount to take off and put shell back on with the box in the way ?
